Even though the Earth Hammer at a fortress would not work, You could make a mobile one as a sort of support siege weapon. Like I said before, I what I imagined was something that looked somewhat similar to the demolisher that could cause a 5 second stun effect or something to a small radius of enemies troops(excluding heroes). How or why you would put it in to the game is in your guys' boat. After all, if I could mod I would probably be contributing more than just my suggestions. :D

Anyway, are the Dwarves almost completed? I haven't really seen anybody write or post pics about any updates or additions with the exception of the first few pages.

BTW, @ Mike: Didn't Helm Hammerhand help with the building of Helm's Deep? Even though it wasn't an example of offensive engineering, it definitely was applicable in combat.

Why not make the Earth Hammer a Hero? The ultimate Siege Hero, teamed whit Gloin and a few catapults, and you win

Rob's working on finishing the Elves right now, which will take a while.

No earth hammer. Please. Tolkein rolls in his grave enough from all the bad homo-Elf and/or Hobbit-fan-fiction, he doesn't need this too.

And Helm's Deep was built by the Dunedain of the South (Gondorians) along with Orthanc and Isengard, to make two fortresses with which to hold the Gap of Rohan and Fords of Isen and regulate traffic and trade in that area.

Badly-written Legolas and Pippin love sessions do not entertain me nor Tolkein (I'm assuming).

Good Lord, that just gave me a horrible mental image...

Back to the Dwarves, I'm not really in favour of keeping the Earth Hammer. A lot of the EA Dwarf features appears to have been "borrowed" from bad RPG games. You know the sort. As Mike was saying, it doesn't make much sense either way. But if you really want it, have it as an incredibly expensive defensive building, one that you stick in a narrow mountain pass and when enemies try to cross the pass, BLAM! But it'd definately need some massive recharge time, like the same as the Earthquake power or something.
The Mighty Catapult thing doesn't make much sense either, but ah well, it's there, and there isn't anything better we can think of. If it were up to me, the final Dwarven Fortress upgrade would be a passive armor/damage/rate-of-fire boost to all nearby Dwarf siege weapons.

I don't like Hammer Dwarves being seperate from Axe Dwarves. I say, fix it so that you can upgrade with hammers and forged blades. Mithril Hammers, as it were.
And make Radagast a Dwarf hero unless you're getting a Loremaster hero. Thank you and goodnight.

Mithril... Hammers? Mithril was extremely rare throughout the history of Ea, and when it was found and used, it was used for protective chainmaille, not... hammers.

I'm fine with them upgrading to either better axes or hammers. Just not "mithril" ones :D

lol upgrading your hammer to mithril would be almost completely useless. lets just say theres a reason they mostly used it for armor. :D

earth hammer is not a good idea mehtinks, and i would rather see it stricken from the game as a bad idea on ea's part than see it implemented prominently in the dwarven faction. no thanks.

Hello, I am a Belgian mod player. (Je ne parle pas anglais! xD)

I would like to propose these units:

-Archers of Moria
-Wariors of Moria (1-handed axe and buckler)
-Khazad Guard

I think you have seen these ideas, because I think they've already been thought up.

Good playing!

The Inn System is still very work in progress. Right now the only 'complete' one is the Southern Fiefdoms - try it out next time for a taste of what's to come.

This guy wants Dwarf Moria Archers (I don't understand this concept in the slightest), Dwarven Warriors of Moria (with a hatchet and a shield; this neither makes much sense) and a Khazad Guard, which... Well, none of these ideas are very lore-ish because the Dwarves who inhabited Moria were miners - there's no mention of any elite troops, although the loremasters created the Dwarven Doors - and they were wiped out by Goblins and the Balrog anyway.
He also would like to point out that the ideas are not entirely his, and I for one think I've seen them in the S.E.E. mod (not that I play it; Nazgul f***ed up the hitpoints, armor and damage of units, heroes and buildings to such an extent that I can't play it without collapsing with pain).

And I didn't actually mean "Mithril" hammers as such. I just though it would be good to be able to upgrade one horde of Dwarves with both Forged Blades and Siege Hammers, so that they do increased damage to units and buildings. It gets very cumbersome otherwise. If it stays how it is, why not use a different skin for the Hammer Guardians? Something to distinguish them, anway. Since they start looking the same as the axe guardians, you're likely to get them mixed up.

well mike, one of them (the hammer ones) are supposed to do more damage to buildings than to units and vice versa for the others. atm the only difference arises when their weapons are upgraded, one gets the hammer and the other forged blades. they are the same until upgraded as far as i can remember.
i wouldnt mind if the hammer guardian became an entirely separate unit from the ordinary guardian. it would need a reskin and would jsut have the hammer from the beginning. i would probably have the hammer guardians be a smidge more expensive than the vanilla ones were this to be implemented.
