Like an archery range or stables? Cause those wouldn't be good for faction diversity...

There's no need to take away some fun, diverse units when you can just do as Myrdin said and not buy them. They existed in the region at one point or another, so they should be there. Idc about the specifics because they're trivial and if u follow them too closely then u'll just end up taking away from gameplay.

The game needs to be balanced between lore and gameplay, and this is just a case where it can tip a little towards gameplay and still be ok.

He does have a point about soldiers, archers, and cav from the same building though :) Oh well...it'll all be balanced out eventually.

anyway, if you make hobbits cheaper, and make them combo hording, then as far as i can see, they will be used much more than they are now ( IF they are used now :) ).

and i fast forgot, someone said this ( or something like this ) : They build longer than normal swordsmand - soo the building time needs to be decreased too
they are ment to be weak shitty buddies, but can throw dangrerous rock, and be good as meat shield ( thx the price - which WAS 50 in Rotwk )

Now, next thing, will the batts remain two lines for Arnor, or will they be reduced to one. Imo one is better. Just buff the soldiers/archers a little.

Also, I have noticed the deficiency in good cavalry in Arnor- is this intended? I know you have the Rivendell Lancers- they are average. Then you have the Mounted Dunedain Rangers which are v.weak. I just don't see the point of the Mounted Rangers if they are that ridiculously weak. I mean have you guys noticed this as well?

All mounted archers are weak atm...stupid ea. Gondor and Arnor will probably stick with two lines of basic units. Arnor also has some of the best cav in game with the hero horde.

Will Gorfindel replace Elrond for Arnor, i think he should Elrond never took to field during the Angmar-Arnor war, it would also satisfy some of us who think Gorfindel should be stonger. EA screwed up on Gorfindels character by making him a mid or early game hero when he should have been a powerful mid to late hero.

Yes, but Arnor and Numenor are not the same thing. Glorfindel did most of Elrond's dirty work for him after the Last Alliance, though, and most of that dirty work was essencially babying the Arnorians.
I'm creeping, not gone.

Ok fair enough with the two lines for basic units.

Now you mentioned that the hero horde is the strongest cav in the game. Just one prob, you can only make ONE batt. LOL. Btw, it needs reskinning as everyone will be bored of the KoDA skins that they've seen hundreds of times.

And the other thing you mentioned is that all mounted archers are weak. Well Mounted Dunedain Rangers are a LOT weaker than other mounted archers. The simple reason is, they have no HA upgrade. PLUS, if you combine no HA with a mounted archer (as opposed to normal sword/lance cav) that is a very bad combination. This is cuz they dont have a big enough advantage on swordsman. I think you guys must've thought of 'hit and run' tactic. But tbh, if you leave them for literally 2 secs and if enemy comes, they are dead on the floor. They are like babies-constantly need your attn. Even archers can take out this batt quite easily. Two batts of archers will finish the MDR easily. This stuff I'm talking about, you can try it out as well, if you don't believe me. You also said 'atm' which I reeeeaaally hope implies that it will change sometime soon.

I do think that Glorfindel needs to be looked at (for his powers and stuff) but I don't think that we should see him appear again in Arnor. I suggested before, that they could consider adding Cirdan instead. Lore-wise this doesn't make much sense but I would rather see someone new. The only hero that really gets away with being in two factions is the Witchking. I think that this mod can afford to keep it that way.

I don't see why they both can't be included in Arnor - Cirdan and Glorfindel.
And IIRC Arnor is quite low on heroes, anyway.

I think in my opinion Glorfindel should replace Elrond for Arnor and be taken from the Elves faction this would solve the problem with the Elves having to many mid game heros. Also we get to see a more powerful Glorfindel one that would live up to deeds from the books and lore.

He is an Elven Lord, and was King Turgon's chief lieutenants, when fleeing the fall of Gondolin he was confronted by a Balrog who he dueled and defeated but like Gandalf would in future, he died and his spirite passed to Valinor however the Valar were not done with him yet and sent him back to Middle-earth to fight again.
Even the Witch-King who was feared by many, was afraid of him.

I don't know about building more than 1 battalion of the elite cavalry. I wouldn't do more than 2. With 1 battalion of those, I can keep the enemy far from my base (They try to attack the knights instead of anything else), and using hit & run tactics, they can kill groups of enemies 8 times their size. I've been saved from total defeat many times using the knights.

the elves cant lose glorfindel because when they get split the heros will be split as well, leaving the heros for non-allied subfactions more expensive and/or weaker/longer to build making them less useful (until you call for their respective faction). this leaves each subfaction with 3 heros, and if you lose glorfindel, rivindell is severely hampered.

if im correct (and i think i am, but someone back me up on this), arnor already has cirdan so we can put that to rest.
