I think that this idea can be reused, a ballista on an animal's back.
For Evil men, I think that the animal which characterize the best this faction is a scorpion.
By viewing the robnkarla avatar, he well-controls this animal !
But big scorpion isn't very frenquent... even in Harad...

i dont think harad would need a ballista since they have two types of siege already (mumakil and oliphaunts), but i would say it could work rather well on the back of an oliphaunt; so not as large as a mumakil. although they do lack a ranged siege...

this mobile, deployable ballista could work; i like it.

well, thx didnt expect that even one person likes it.

i want it to be corsairs, for as dalf said, harad already has pretty good siege ( though we know they need a buff ), and the corsairs are acsasable by both factions.
soo thats why i choosed it to be corsair - and, i was refering to the smaller (3x bigger than x bows ) balista they had on theyir boat, which was easier to move ( when they armed it on the boat for example )

as for modeling it out - i think it could be managable, as we got really skilled peaople here, and there are few models where more units work as one ( for example, angmar catapult, or any other siege ).
If shikary would like to take it (modeling/skinning them), i d like to discuss it on MSN, but the problem is - i reinstalled W. and need to get msn a new ( not really a problem ), soo i lost even the unit speeches i created for Harad and Rhun - but i will work on it and type it again and send it to you as soon as possible - got them written on paper too, soo no really a problem.

Lol, I didn't know. That was actually exactly what I had proposed to Rob, the voices for Harad and Rhún. But if you really wanna do it, I'll let you do it.

i had, ( basically got, but now not in PC ) finished like 3-4 units for harad, and was thinking stuff for Rhun.

Aren't Mumakil and Oliphants the same thing?

Not in this mod, no.. IIRC, Oliphants do not have a howdah and are scaled smaller.

oliphaunts are being made into a battallion (of 3 i think) so that they differ more from the mumakil (right now they are useless for the most part). in this way i think they will be more anti-unit siege if that makes any sense; sort of like mountain trolls (not attack trolls). as always; someone correct me if im wrong.

some time ago, i took the chance, to create new speeches for MotE.
right now, i was able ( as few remember, had to start again, - reainstalled windows = empty PC ), to get the speeches in again, and send them already to our skilled skinner - shikary

as for a little taste of is done, the unit and few speeeches :
MotE builder : "I build for East" " Through the Sands " " Im listening "
Haradrim Wariors : " Back to Desert " " Chieftan calls " " Your comand ? "
Haradrim Guards :
( also name the - Hardrim Guardians of Black serpent ) : " Serpent Guide us " " Protect the Citadel " " Serpent Comands "
Haradrim Archers : " The fangs of serpent come to your biding " " Sky will rain Arrows/Death " " We shall shot from there "
and lastly mhh Black Serpent Guard : " We are one with desert " " Not even dust will remain " " Hung begins ! "

next ill be doing the Rhun speeches, more concentrated around sauron, after that the Corsairs brigands ll be next, and lastly the Sorcerrers

soo shikary, hmm if you read this - delete the ones i sended you today, ill make some little correction ( maybe get some better ones ).

as for the date of Rhun units, i hope to finish them till the end of the next week ( still got school, if not, would be propably sooner )

I'm not going to lie, I think that those are really cool lines that you came up with Myrdin. So in order to get them implemented (if the team decides to do so), would you be hiring a voice actor or would you use an audio program? Sorry, but I'm just a little curious as to how new voices would be installed....

im making small change.
This line goes to the Haradrim Archers, and ( as for Rhun units are my next target ), the line " The sky will rain death " goes to the only Rhun ranged they have - theyre basic archers.

for the mellee, im planing on using some line that quote things like " Sauron will rule ! " or " We are the hounds of darkness " and soo on - as far i know ( correct me pls, if im wrong, soo i can change the lines if needed ) sauron had bigger influence in Rhun than Harad ( though it was nicely influenced too ) . . . ?

though the corsairs are coming after the Rhun, i already have some nice stuff ( though it may be changed ), for the new brigand unit

when you imagine it with the funny corsair voices, its not that bad
