....Or they would be like Grunts when Leaders die in Halo 1, 2, and 3:
They would panic. ;)

I don't think they would particularly want to be there, they would probably just run away. This is the closest we or ea could get ;)

And a good one too, I also found the whole thralls dying entirely idiotic and far-fetched. Realistically, if their chieftain died they either would have kept fighting or retreated until another leader replaced the deceased one, or the tralls would have entered a frenzy of fighting unable to respond to higher command, until they were defeated.

I think that that's actually a very good idea. :p
If the Thrall Master dies the remainder of the horde should basically switch to the 'creeps' faction, obeying no orders, staying in one place, and attacking anything that moves nearby.

Interesting, and they would also not appear as part of your army, as the commoand point number would still decrease. Still the idea of attacking your own units may be a bit aggravating.

Why? If they where forced into service under the Thrall Masters, if the Thrall Master in charge of a horde is killed, what's to stop the remaining units from attacking not only the enemies of Angmar, but also those who enslaved them?
But hey, it was just an idea. :)

maybe so, but there is some question as to who the thralls might be, earlier discussions have suggested that while Gundabad orcs could receive a sort of promotion, and hillmen could have a increased role, i.e. not just ranged units and spearmen, but also swarm units as well coming as raiding horsemen and warriors,

I was also thinking a bit ago about the Thrall Masters. I also find it stupid that once the Master dies, they all die. I, like the others, think a neater system would be when / if the Master dies, the will holding them to the battle dies as well - they frenzy and kill everything around them. 'Course, chances are they'd get slaughtered in moments, but hey.

One thing that we could do is remove all Thrall options from the Hall of the Kings Men. Put them in a Thrall Hut or something along those lines - they wouldn't group something like Thralls (taken from what the Vikings called their 'slaves', basically) in with the Kings Men. They would be lowly, live in huts of mud, stuff like that. They don't belong with the elite soldiers, is what I'm trying to say - the rangers, the swordsmen.

Also, have we decided on the Men of Carn Dum yet, to replace the Black Numenoreans? I remember having a huge discussion way back about that. We all agreed that the Black Numenoreans weren't cannon (outside of maybe a spare few - I still think they should be Angmars mini hero-horde.) And if people have decided to add vampire bats or werewolves, I shall be most displeased! From what I recall, everyone agreed that Angmar shouldn't be so much of a Monster faction and should be more of an evil man faction - since there isn't really an evil man faction in the game, side from MOTE. Isengard and the Goblins have plenty of monsters, more than enough for everyone.

I've been away for quite some time - sorry that I'm dredging up old conversations. :D

I also just realized how long its been since there was a post in this thread. Wow. And behold all ye, he shall have powers of resurrection over that which has long been deceased! :D

'The Twilight of Man is nigh, and coming ever closer. The days have shortened into cold, forlorn darkness and sunrise to sundown is a bitter struggle for survival. But do not think for a moment that we shall not fight. We shall not go quietly into the dusk. We shall not throw down arms and flee, or surrender. We will go on, we will not falter. And even should we die, we shall make an end that will be remembered for thousands of years. For beautiful Arnor that is, for glorious Númenor that was! We are the Dúnedain, we are the Men of the North, and our foes will remember our steel!'

I have a few ideas, Morgomir should like the other Nazgul and his lord ride a black horse, also both Modirith and Amarthiel should be in but both can only be trained with the Witch-King in game as the two are his greatest servents, also Morgdrambor the leutinent of Amarthiel should be in play as a powerful hero and the Gaunt-men should be in as well

I may be a guest, but I have followed rj's work since the awsome 1.6 patch. It is, without a doubt the greatest mod I have played, in any game. It enhances the game while keeping it true to the lore. That said, I think that imho, Amarthiel should be added ASAP, because it is the only thing that the mod really needs right now. I say this because this hero is the only one that Angmar needs, because it would be a caster/wizard type and Angamar doesn't have any, apart from the customized created hero. All other factions have one. So, my plea is for someone, who sees this as the only flaw on the mod, to perhaps create a small file with the Amarthiel end-game hero unit =). And if anyone has already started this, please tell me because I would very much like to know all about it!! Thank you
