Yes to the first few, but a big 'NO' to the last because BNs were in the South, and there weren't enough of the Men of Angmar to form their own cavalry troops.
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

So, did all human Angmar troops move around on foot?
What were their means of transportation?
I mean with all the hills and snow how could they not use horses, that type of landscape is hard to traverse on foot.

As far as we know anly thier feet, several slave lines worth of supplies to see them through the harsh snows, with no wood or horses to build Wains or Wagons. A certain number of Orcs could mount Wargs and wolves, but no mass transport for the Faction as a whole

Creative, but unrealistic. There is little lore enough on Snow Trolls to formulate a game unit well enough, and yes I know there is a Snow Troll unit in Angmar currently, but they're crap. :p

I personally think that the idea of snow troll riders is too good to dismiss.
Therefor, I've made a sketch of what they could look like ingame.

Scan10052.jpg

They're Angmar's finest!
As you can see the riders themselves are motivated and eager to ride out in battle.
The riders carry a sword as a supplement to the trolls standard armament (pickax and shield)
Also the tin cans that are tied behind the troll inspire fear into the hearts of even the most stalwart knight of Arnor!
What you cannot see however, is that the troll carries a sign on his back, on this sign is a text.
Every troll caries a different sign, which sports a different text, such as:

"We don't brake for Arnorians"
"WK for president"
"Goblins do it underground"
"Orks and Uruks don't do it at all"

So with the snow troll riders added, the thrall masters can't stay behind, so as of now they also sport a troll mount (a hill troll to prevent confusion).
Also the Witch king chances mounts, he will ride a mountian giant (why, because he's the Witch king, that's why!)
It can't get more canon than this, if you ask me.

Please tell me this is some very weird joke. If it is, all right, but if it isn't please read the text below

There are no such things as presidents in Middle-earth. There weren't enough trolls or giants for mount all the footsoldiers of Angmar. All Nazgul ride horses. Snow trolls probably don't exist, or at least not in huge numbers. And If you define canon as so far-fetched that it's right up there with Warcraft, and so far away no one could make the connection with Tolkien's Middle-earth, THEN YOU WOULD BE RIGHT!

Joking!?
JOKING!? :)

We're talking snowtroll mounts here... which are the same as epic mounts, dude, you don't joke about that.
Bet you don't dare to say that into the face of an arnorian family who had lost their husband an father to a snowtroll rider.

We should like do a fund raise or something to assist victims of snowtroll riders... man.
Some sort of snowtroll rider awerement week, in which we clearly explain the danger and horror that snowtroll riders pose.
We should get this thing out into the open... dude!

You're taking this too far.

*cough* "Excuse me, princess! We seem to have a madman in the hall. Don't worry, your highness, we'll remove him right away." *cough*

I laughed when I saw the first post. Now I'm crying.

Yeah, I just wanted too have a little laugh.
It was fun while it lasted, but the last post really was the last post.

It realy was just a joke, snowtroll riders are bullshit, they shouldn't be put into the game or be mentioned... but feel free to use it as an easter egg if you really want to.
Sorry if I insulted anyone and tell the peta no snow or hilltrolls were hurt during or after this stupid joke.

On another topic, you mean. :xcahik_:

I think that the easter egg for Angmar should be the original faction units. It would look so much more realistic than, say, something that Tolkien actually intended! *Woohoo! Yippee-kye-ay! We're off to the wild, wild north!* :)

Yeah, yeah.
I'm sorry, the whole joke didn't work out as I intended it anyway.
Glad I stopped while it was still a tad funny... nothing as irritating as a lame joke®.
But back to the regular state of business: How to make Angmar kick a$$!
We'll leave this whole troll thing behind us!
Gave me a good idea for my novel though :)

I like the thrall system, but it has one little disadvantage to it: When the thrall master dies the whole horde dies. I' ve come to easily exploit that disadvantage in skirmishes with the AI by simply sending a hero at the back of the horde to take out the thrall master. It's especially easy to do with a Rhudaur Axethrowers horde, since they will stay in place when attacking. :p Perhaps in the next release, the horde will still be able to keep on fighting, even when the thrall master dies, kinda like the yeoman herald battalions. :p Just a suggestion.

And a good one too, I also found the whole thralls dying entirely idiotic and far-fetched. Realistically, if their chieftain died they either would have kept fighting or retreated until another leader replaced the deceased one, or the tralls would have entered a frenzy of fighting unable to respond to higher command, until they were defeated.
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .
