After 10.500 views and 550 replys in 30 pages of posts - maybe it's time to start a new Screen Shot thread? :p Let's simply have one thread for each Beta/Release =)

The new Ents was the last thing flaunted in the old thread... lets show some new Goblin stuff - added tonight...

The new REALLY rusted, dirty and dark Goblin skin:
Posted Image

The new - equally dirty and dark, but much less rusty - Heavy Armor skin:
Posted Image

And finally - the all new Pike unit for Goblins, shown here in LA while the Swordsmen have the HA for comparisons:
Posted Image Model by: THE DEAD PLAYER! Skin by: Nazgûl =)

Now... these are not 100% finished coding-wise, but I put my trust in Sûl there ;) He will not only do it better than me, but also much faster. While he's polishing their INIs I will be doing new Art for them (Portraits and Buttons) + making Strings. They will be in Beta 4.5 (formerly knows as "Beta IV v2") :)

Those skins are 1000000% crisp. Fine job, you did. Do half-trolls get that look, too?
If I were you and you were me I'd have a different face.

Great stuff! Nice skins! Do the Pikemen use the Mithlond-Anims for Porcupine and stuff?

where did all the random skins for Goblins go? ;) Not that you ever had them, but Gobbo's should have that :) Or atleast, different equipment.... *note to self; make LUA Gobbos*

Hehe not yet... I gave them everything based on the Orc Pikemen and Goblin Fighters. The model is bound to the Isengard Pikemen bone, just like the Orc Pikemen... But I really just threw them in there, along with the "surprise model" (tell you on msn). But I'm afraid you're gonna "have to" polish them into perfection, since we've already passed my skills of coding  I will do art for them today but I can send you the files before that so you can continue work if you like? Adding the art will be easy if I send it to you later along with the updated Asset too =)

Hehe they're still there, only the same still, but I think new MODELS are better than only extra skins. Just look at the Orc Pikemen, noone ever notice they're different. So we need more Goblin models actually, preferably without helmets and with different weapons. The Orc Pikemen need the same...

@ MS: No they're the models listed in ToDo: that is The Dead Players models from Deluxe Edition, but with my skins =)

Or at least do that to the Orc Pikemen? :p

Maybe we should ask TDP about new models for Gobbos? Their armor is a bit different really and TDP made those excellent Morguls... I guess he could do some cool goggo stuff too, hehe  But maybe there's items from Gorgoroth Orcs that will fit the Gobbos too?

ja, that pole looks...digitalish.

I think goblin pikes should use the goblin warrior anims when moving, then stand up to stab people when they get close. Something about the goblins "jumping" like the uruk pikes do just doesn't seem right...but then again I guess that's for later down the road.

once again AWESOME skins, can't wait to see the new models.
If I were you and you were me I'd have a different face.

do you realize how crappy it looks if we'd put a spear on a gobbo, and binded it to the gobbo anim? It sucks  And you basically have to redo all the anims for the gobbos, not only the attacking ones
still, editing the uruk anims for the walk is different... but remember, they bend their backs, but the uruk's don't (anims), so that would look wierd too....

(yeah, I know all about Goblin Spearmen anims.... :p me first RA job)

Word!

I agree with the digitalish poles...Needs to be darker.

What is that Goblin doing in the first pic? :p

EDIT: Just remembered: Is the bounding boxes for them of a decent size?

I'll make the pole as dark and dirty as the armor :p

The first gobbo is the gobbo on the Cave =p

The BB's are ok on these models =)

:p I really don't think so... They're merely some color alterations, filters (Ocean Ripple in PSD is what made the rusted metal chunks) and some pencil strokes of colors and highlights here and there. No big deal really =p Other skins I've done have FAR more work. Most meticiously made so far are the Hobbit Heroes probably...
