No, remove CaH - I never use them anyways!

Should we keep CaH even if we use CaH to create new regular heroes?
No, if you use them for regular heroes, you might as well remove the CaH!

Should we use CaH to create new needed heroes in SEE?
Yes, the CaH contain loads of nice models and things - use them!

Create a hero ruin the entire Lotr experience, I'd really like to see them removed and their models\skills used in a more original\good way.

Thanks for your opinions =) I have always hade about those too, but the general public seem to want them to stay and I don't wanna decide against them in this matter :S Usually I disable CaH when playing myself... But I would sure like to scrap it and use all the nice armor parts and models for regular heroes... but they will most likely stay anyway... :/

*difficult matter*

My guess is that Mollock is going to be looking as close to the troll at the Black Gate (RoTK) as possible. Watch the movie and you will know what he's going to look like! :p

Possible yes, but too much work? Yes! :p

Mollock wil look like in the movie yes, which the CaH troll does too. So Molock will look like I posted in the first page of this thread :)

I use CaH all the time! It is the first hero I build, I would die if they were removed. So I am glad they are staying (just my 2 cents)

Me to i like it, it gives a flexibilty to the game, all i said before was to to make the stuff you put on the heroes actually have different effects, for example the big huge hammer for the troll to do a ground shake, splash damage knock back good against siege and buildings, but be slow and for the sword to be a fast slashing, good against infantry etc.

But as you said to much coding naz? so i was maybe thinking give it a choice of upgrades at the armoury instead, like with the attacj trolls (+ are they supposed to be bigger that the hero troll? when you give it the upgrade to that big ass mace lookin thing, it looks far bigger and more powerful than the troll hero)
Management of many is the same as management of few. It's a matter of organization.

The problem is not just/really coding, but animations. Making good looking animations by hand is something that VERY few modders can do. We can only work with what is available in game. EA uses motion capture equipment for like hundred of thousands of dollars we don't have that :p

Troll size.... well, I don't think the attack troll looks that much bigger? But I'll check.

*Topic revived - 1 year later :p *

Regardless of where we stand in this, I've always wanted "Mollock" (if RA won't go crazy for us using that name - if so I'll rename him) in SEE - the Black Gate Troll that almost killed Aragorn...

Here he is. But with a problem I hope I can fix. See the black hole in his head? :p

That was the only CAH I ever created and used, and the bummer was yes the big black hole in his head and he has no teeth, which looks funny when he roars. Also I think he carries 2 weapons, a war hammer of some type. check the scenes when he aproaches aragorn after he has been knocked to the ground you can see him carrying it.

But the CaH doesn't have the black hole... does it? This is a new INI, but I'm using the model and the skin of the CaH troll... Can't recall that I've seen the caH version have that hole?

EDIT: made one like it, in game... and you're right. That SUCKS!!! How could EA let that one slip? lol.... No wonder I couldn't find a mesh causing problems, when it's in the model. Damn!!!

Wow, that is pretty bad on EA's part. :p Only way to fix that would be to adjust the position of the helmet and that would require editing and re-binding the model. :p

Ive been playing around with the textures shaders settings and it might hafto do with them, im just guessing here but i think the black hole is supposed to be hidden either through alpha settings or code. It appears to be another helmet simply clipping through.

if its IN the same W3D model maybe it was from a development kit file where modelers re-use to get scale right, and it was simply forgotten about.

As much as I hate it, the best thing to do to it is probably to keep it. You would really upset some people, while making the most serious players of the BFME series (myself and everyone above me, which is a lot of people). There are enough people for CAH to need to be left in. Leaving it in won't drive people away. Taking it out might. All you need to do to avoid the OP CAH is to disable it. You need to do some absurd amount of moddding to reenable it, iIrc.
I'm creeping, not gone.

Keep the CAH. I have a Wizard CAH that I absolutely love.

And I couldn't care less whether you used parts from CAH for normal heroes. If you see some good stuff, use it!
