No we didn't forget, but I'm not sure the elven farms will make it into Beta 4.5... I rather not mess anymore with the AI bases for a while. It's really tricky work... =p

But wouldnt the AI just count them as resource buildings and construct them to the places of Mallorn Trees ? Correct me if Im wrong though because I have little if any experience about AI :p

Of course. But if they have a different geometry they might not fit the spots, or rather, other buildings might not get built, since the resource buildings get constructed first.

in the movies you see legolas use his elven sight to look almost over what seems 10 miles (it was reall long).
You should improve his eyesight and attack range so it is more realistic i thought he could barely see a all .

Improving eyesight is fine, but attack range will be OP I think. If you are referring to the scene where he spots the uruk-hai carrying Merry and Pippin, I doubt he could shoot at that range  .

It's fine the way it is. Otherwise you could see too much of the map (increased shroudrange) or legolas would always be wandering off by himself to shoot at stuff he just spotted but was out of range (increased visionrange). The only solution would be to use HOLD GROUND STANCE which does nothing much but reduce his vision range anyway.

Put him on a hill. That will increase vision range AND weapon range by a decent amount! :p

Just a quick question, has the "too many heroes" for elves problem been solved? I mean, when you have all the heroes out, it's impossible to select the last one or two heroes without clicking directly on them. I'm talking about the faces, the shortcuts, I can't remember what they're called right now, I'm too tired. Like elronds tornado. You can't click directly on it, you have to click on it's shortcut. But if you have all the heroes out, it's not there. I really hope I'm making sense here. Help me out, somebody, if you know what I'm talking about. I remember someone else mentioning this a while back, but is it going to be fixed with the new beta? I'M SO TIRED

lol.... I still think it would be best if two of the hobbits moved to Motw, it would atleast solve the above problem, and give Motw a form of an early scout. But I originally made this suggestion so Elrond's sons could be wacked in there  nvm heh.

Since I'm the Marketing Manager as well, I need to communicate between this forums and other forums. So here's a suggestion I found on another forum:

And just before I forget this one as well. Could treebeard have a power that makes a selected tree attack any opponenets units that stray too close. I was watching the two towers movie again and saw the trees attacking the remains of the isenguard army and thought it might work. Just like the warg trap idea except this time the tree becomes the unit and unfortunately the tree has nowhere to hide so it could be destroyed at any time. But I guess without your animator it could be hard.

^ That would be Huorns... and for those, normal trees won't work. I would require a special tree with new anims... Rather hard to do yes.

um I think he means the pictures of the heroes at the bottom of the screen, for the elves when you have purchased all the heros you can't select on some of them cause there isin't any room for them

Ooh... uhm... really? I never noticed that, but yeah the Tornado uses a slot there too, that's right. I think this was up before with Mordor... What was the maximum amount of visible icons there... 16?

Either way, you gotta get rid of some of those heroes to clear up some space for the "pictures" at the bottom of the screen. Why not get rid of Pippin's and Merry's pictures once they join Treebeard? That would help a bit.

Why not get rid of Pippin and Merry? lol, as far as I remember, Merry and Pippin spent more time with Rohan + Gondor than Frodo + Sam did...

I'd guess because of the mount tree beard function which is very nice they will stay with Elves...

I think the hobbits would not fit very well with Gondor and Rohan because both factions have already alot of heros

Hmm Ok,

Gondor= Boromir, Aragon, Gandy, Eagle and Faramir + Rohan 3 heroes = 8.
Elves= 4 Hobbits, Lego, Haldir, Elrond, Arwen, Thranduil, Cele, Glorf, Galadriel and Eagle= 13.

Please Explain your logic :) lol..

and as far as I know the mount treebeard works with all four hobbits so moving two shouldn't be a problem for that... Whatever :p

Not sure if this was mentioned, but EA's Thranduil was really off, using a bow and all. In the hobbit he is described really diffrently, I know this is a movie mod, but can you fix him to use sword and staff and maybe redo his powers, after all he is a king, maybe leadership to mirkwoods only?

I know he may have used a bow, but I think as he is a high elf (altho his domain is filled with wood elves) he should be wielding those weapons and not a bow.

Among his skills there should be some kind of tricking the enemy power, as they tricked the company of dwarves in the hobbit (illusion of elves, and when they got closer, all the lights went off and they weren't there).

Another thing, if I remember correctly Ents had crush damage\trample of some kind in BFME1, is this planned for SEE too? I think it was really nice, weaken it a bit, but make them at least crush some of the units, I remember in the movie they crushed orcs in isengard with their feet (or roots :p)

- Thranduil has been up several times yes, but thanks ok :p
We might try to redo him or Beta V, but it won't be for this upcoming beta 4.5. We would need a completely new model for this and as of today his model if working too good to just be scrapped. But when/if we make or get a more suiting model we'll update him that way =)

- The Ents in SEE have had crush attack towards all small enemies for a long time now. At least since Beta III :p Just let them walk all over them, and you'll see ;p Same thing goes for Giants. And Trolls have knockback when rushing into smaller enemies.

Yeah its there, for some reason I didn't remember it, oh well =)
Once again I'm glad to see you've already thought of all of this just shows me how extensive this mod got, I really like what I read here, and can't wait till 4.5
