They are too BIG! =p That's what I meant by looking silly. I didn't mean ugly, I meant they don't fit size-wise to be built all over like thin walls.

And what makes the BFME1's "real" the BFME2 ones "not real"?
I have yet to see real walls you can walk on. Roads are usually made to walk on, while walls are made to separate rooms or keep ppl out of properties? :p

Alright just a suggestion. It wouldnt look silly though REAL walls would look awesome cause they are more lord of the ringsy (which is supposidly your goal for this expansion.)

never...NEVER say "lord of the ringsy" again.

And walkable, buildable walls were bfme1. This is bfme2...it's a LOT different.
If I were you and you were me I'd have a different face.

I agree with Nazgûl and the rest, non-walkable walls are quite realistic for a fast built defensive perimeter. Taller and wider walkable walls are for a permanent fortress and anyway to keep them balanced, it would take too much time to build to be of any use in game.

Nono, don't take it that way. At least not from me :p I was merely expaining why it won't fit. Trust me, you'll know when you upset me, which you didn't :p

Just had a thought while reading this topic on walkable walls. what about a fortress upgrade that builds the bfme1 gondor fortress walls around your fortress, kinda like the upgrade that adds the floor. could be an interesting late game upgrade. :thumbsupsmiley:

Hi,

Yeah just want to know if it is a possibilty to have the Dunedain of the North for Men of the West. Who like Aragorn were stern of face but hardy and capable of using all weapons surely the forgotten Dunedain "were" the most ELITE of all men?

That being because they used all weapons well and were the most "toughened" by their circumstances.
What does Gandalf say talk to the smartest person in a forum. Like now i'm talking to myself because i am alone. haha. Just a joke.

Yeah, that would be pretty cool indeed! I'd sure like that, but as the AI bases work atm, they all fetch the same BSE map (except the fortress maps). The bases are allready crowded, and most maps wouldn't fit that kind of expansion. We'd also have problems with those factions that lack those kinds of walls, like Mordor and so on... But it's a cool idea =)

Hello and welcome to our forums. And thanks for using the SEE banner to support my mod ;)
I was about to say that they are - as summons, but then I saw you said that too, hehe. Anyway, the reason I wanna keep them as summons only, is the fact that the Dunedain was pretty much extinct at the time. We'll expand them a bit though with weapon toggle and unlimited life time until dead =)

One thing that always bothered me are the Rohirrim (and other Rohan) banners made by EA. I mean, what the diddely are those horse head thingies on top? What are they made of? Stone? Wood? How can you balance such a thing on a pole? I suggest removing that piece of the banner to make it a 'normal' banner.

My thoughts exactly. At some point. probably for Beta 4.8, I'll initiate a large scale BC workover where all hordes are controlled and given the proper banner carrier model. While doing that, we can adjust those darn things. If that should work, it should be made of hollow plastic... Dosen't really fit in LotR :D

I'lll probably also use the BC glow to indicate FB upgrade and remove the actual fx

You could limit the number of Dunedain hordes to four or something.

Shot Naz i really like the mod, and feel like Bilbo in front of a fireplace. Anyway, the Dunedain(Numenoreans-truest form of them) were not extinct. When the kingdom of Arnor fell into infighting and bickering, they became a "wandering people". I think it is important to have them as they represent the men of the north of Middle-Earth. It would jam if they didn't expire at time up, but what i would also like to see would be for them to be able to use swords. After all they did repel the Nine in the daytime at least according to the Unfinished tales when the nine went looking for the ring.

So you should be happy, because Nazgûl said they will be permanent and have a weapon toggle (bow/sword) :ninja:.

That would do it I reckon because then with time you could build up a Rangers army protecting the shire folk.

So it should take a while to recharge the summon, I suppose.

Edit: Oh, btw, if they are permanent will they be upgradable?
