G'day Slay@

We're already working on a better one than that :)
No chance of returning....Zero chance of surviving....Well!? When do we get started?

I say Rohan needs a spear-thrower unit. And I have a question: Do the Rohan Peasants count as being Rohan Swordsmen, despite that they need an upgrade to become worthy of calling army-people?

There will be dismounted (and mounted) Royal Guards in the next version, and they will fulfill the role of swordsmen.

Hey, for the knights of Dol-Amroth, why don't you use the KICK-ASS skins EA made for Rise of the Witch King, they were the best skins ever made by EA.

Yes. (Not to mention the fact that while the EA KoDA may look good from a distance, when you zoom in, that's where it all goes to pot.)
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

Lovely skins, but i really dont see why the EA KoDA skins are polished up, (not to sound disrespecitful, but they kick ass, like yammy said - plus, when do you zoom in on a unit to stare at it while it fights and dies? ;) ). I love the glowiness about then :w00t:

Nazgul could still polish the skins up, like every other skin he did. Nazgul did not make those skins, it was from the 3rdage.net, a guy put up a couple skins saying anyone could use them.

For my taste these Dol Amroth knight skin has a too strong medieval flavour with the full helmet. Best Dol Amroth knight concept I've seen so far is this miniature:

I've always found that helmet a bit too elaborate... I prefer the model Arthadan posted.

I knew GW's try, but I don't like the tall pointy helmet... too 'high fantasy' for Middle-earth.

Here you have yet another version with interesting shields:

And some footmen too:

I hate the silly helmets, but the rest look fine.

I haven't see any of it before..the shield detail on first pic...was just awesome  as for helmet now i personally think the new concept you found is best if you want them to look unique on SEE mod(without Nertea stuff), nice find Arthadan. :shiftee:

i know that men of the west already have a lot of units, but i think that the southern fiefdoms should have a few units, like axemen of lossarnarch or bowmen of blackroot vale, or marines of pelargir (light infantry), and most importantly, the knights of dol amroth.

this is because in the books, the defenses of minas tirith actually depended a lot on the southern fiefdoms to send aid. the knights of dol amroth i think are already going to be included, but other southern fiefdom units arent. maybe the inn system could be like in rj rotwk, where you buy allegiances to certain factions, like the southern fiefdoms or the beornings

an idea for the knights of dol amroth is that they are the motw's mini-hero-horde, along with the rohan royal guard, while the fountain guard are just elite pikemen.

Not bad, though the purple is not doing it for me. Blue is a much better color, particularly when you take into account that Dol Amroth is primarily a sea port. Also, it seems to me that the purple tends to clash with the rest of the Gondor army. (silver and black next to white and purple. Not a great match)

Something to take a look at would be the units from the Third Age total war mod. Most of there units are superbly done and look really cool. Here's what I think the Dol Amroth guys should look like. (Maybe a bit smaller wings on the helmets)

I think they would look pretty cool in BFME.
