Since no-one has answered your question, I actually think they can. If you look at the render of the Olog-troll, you'd see two icons instead of three (the original icon being pick up a tree). Originally it used to cancel out the other options, with it removed and replaced with the troll armour upgrade, and with a few of Cahik's skilled anims it might be so.

But it's just a theory

And furthermore, there've been no staff members answering questions because most if not all of them are busy with uni exams.

I didn't realise we had coded AI for the new factions Kenny :p What we said was that we hope to have it added, but we think that capturing MF plots might be too hard to code. Although, I have started trying to create AI files for MF plots.

My bad, I misread the question. It sure does seem like the old factions, such as Mordor and Gondor, use the AI fairly well in the Beta. Then again, my units are still invisible and I'm guessing as to what units are being used..

Hey, I have a question, and maybe a helpful way to go about the coding. Did AI for Rohan when it made farms spam peasants? If so, is there way to use that as a model to code the mini-faction plots in. Just a thought, good luck with exams, I finished mine Friday.
Peace

MF plots are completely different to farm plots though. I need Hebblewhite to give me his WIP so I can try and add in all the MF stuff.

Remember how Haldir's recruitable by Rohan and Mirkwood.

I thought that, in an effort to make Frodo and Sam more significant in the mod, They could be purchassable for all good factions.

I know you made Haldir an exception but you did mention something about Frodo and Sam representing all the Free Peoples of Middle-earth, not any specific faction. I just feel rather unsettled about discluding Frodo and Sam from skirmish. I mean until the campaign is fixed for the mod, Frodo and Sam are good as gone. It would bolster the Number of heroes in a good faction. But to prevent Multiple Sams and Frodos appearing you could just not code Frodo and Sam into the AI of Good factions. Or somrething like that.

Obviously you have very good reasons not to have Frodo and Sam, it's just a bit sad not seeing them. They (and)

They weren't in the vanilla game. And they they don't really go with a faction.

In elven alliance they didn't seem too out of place with Gondor... it was like the movies... they got bonuses from eachother so you kept them together, but they weren't much use leading your men... so you just kinda used them as spies to hide behind enemy lines so to speak...

If you read closely, I said of the forums.. Maybe it's just my computer that has started to look different, but the forums look different lately. The site's quite obviously been different for some time.

We've changed the default skin to a more Revora-ish theme we've created recently :)
If you don't like it, you can set your personal skin preference (at the bottom of the page). The old default is called Rev It 2.2.

hi,
is it an idea to make horses not go slower when they crush a horde of orks or something like that? When you select a horse batellion after a walking troop, the horses crash the troop, but began to walk slower. Can you fix it to make them walk/run so fast as they normally do, or maby a little bit slower??

But they do realisticly loose speed, although I sometimes find it they loose too much, but it's probably so they won't kill hordes of hordes of orcs like that *

yup, but maby they could walk a little bit faster, so that it still looks realistic, and the gameplay is better...

Sorry for asking this question again (as I did for a long time ago), but is the minifaction units, for example the Macar, able to get the heavy armour upgrade? In the texts it says upgrades avaiable: heavy armour (in Quenya). But when I asked this question the first time you were sayed that they would already have this upgrade when trainer. How should it be?

Is it the same for the other minifaction units for the other mainfactions?
