So he'll only be camouflaged when he's near trees? I'm basically asking will the ringbearer and ringstealer be exactly the same guy, completely invisible until you're right next to him?

He is always camouflaged, unless attacking (which he will only do as RingStealer). If you come close enough (30 distance units), you can see him. Most hordes are about 100 du's wide, so 30 is not much. Some units also have a camouflage detection modifier bigger than x1, allowing them to see camouflaged units at a greater distance.

Congrats guys. That's a really unique and realistic idea. :good: I also found the ring hero system rather lackluster. Now all you need to do is sort the even-worse naval system out! :good:

Thanks Matt :good: And yeah, we have very nice models from Lord Istari, but they all need rigging and that's not gonna happen until Beta V, but it WILL happen :good:

Sooo true! Sea battles are still no real joy compared to land battles. Hopefully we'll get some variety and more uniqueness sooner or later.

@ Sûl
yeah, Seabattles are a bit boring...
I miss the Age of Empires II Seabattles, they were really funny(the only bad thing was, that they turned around that fast...)

The new Gollum"idea" is great.
Can't wait for stealing the RIng back :good:

One last question about the gollum thing (sorry). If you do manage to kill the Ringstealer (since you couldn't tranfer him to your side because you stole the ring) before he gets to your fotress to take the ring back, when he dies, does he die for good? a.k.a. no more gollum worries after you kill him the second time?

Nope. When you kill the RingStealer he respawns at one of the Gollum-Respawn waypoints.

Those Two things are really Cool as with 4.5 the new skins for gondor units look really really amazing and realistic even the Gorkil now doesnt look like an idiot as he has his Warg now instead of his Stupid Spider. Knights of Dol Amroth Are of Nertea arent they?
