Good points all round there.
GJ is right that detail is good and that an underground faction, while it would be handy, may well be easily crushed by the vast awesome that is the Domain. As representative of the Caenophar, one of the oldest and most powerful races in the galaxy, who are currently taking a serious pounding from the Domain, they are not easily messed with. :thumbsupsmiley:

I finished my details, so they have more powerful things, and are even closer to completely invisible. but, does the Domain have a way to see without thermal or regular vision, cause that's my main way of hiding.

Hello everyone. I am back.

 ))

and no difference between quadrants, its just where your race is located...

Unless your cloaking somehow hides all types of EM radiation and sound waves the Domain could find the cloaked.

i have a cloak, but for the most part you wont be using cloak while fighting, or it would be unfair.... domain are suppose to be super powerful bad guys... if they cant see you to attack that takes away from it... so they have to be able to detect you...

OK, everybody cool it here. Don't make me warn somebody for flaming.

For the purposes of the RP, it is safe to assume that whatever advanced cloaking system you use, the Domain, if given enough time, will find you. They can basically do anything.
However, that's not to say that you can't have an effective cloaking system which will shield you for a good few minutes before they figure out a way of disabling it. So it's still worth having.

eh... whats a twat?

also, you can see the laser turrets, though. if you look for a while, you'll probably see a hole in the ground with laser turrets, but everything else is cloaked.

Right: No need for name calling.
---------------------------------------
First off there are several more ways to detect cloaked vessels. Ion trails for instance. As for cloaking bullets and missiles? Impossible and irrelivant. Bullets, while are fine in modern-era RPGs, are irrelavant in a Futuristic RP. Hence everything is played at the speed of light, such as Lasers and Railguns. Railguns propulsed through magnetic accelerator chambers will be traveling at relatavistic speeds near the speed of light, thus fast enough to RP in space. Missiles would be somewhat less then irrelivant, simply because most of them are propulsed through antimatter reactors or fusion chambers.

Your cloaking device presents another issue, as cloaking devices can't really vaporize anything on contact, as it would vaporize the person or thing using it.

I also think that your history is screwed up.

The Domain didn't exist in this galaxy until they came here, that was the first post in this RP. They where not here before that, so therefore they cannot be the reason you chose to move underground.

first, you read it wrong. it's the laser turrets that vaporize people on contact, and melts metal, which takes time.
second, eh... why else would they move underground? cause they thought, "Hey, forget about surroundings, lets just think about the stealth!" how about a war? but with who...

your people could be an underground people... i mean, they aren't human, so whose to say they dont naturally live underground?

and stealthing bullets seems a bit silly. the cost of miniature stealth generators would be huge, and then to have them be destroyed when used would increase the cost even further.

though nowe i must disagree on one thing, about the irrelevance of projectiles in a future rpg.

they can be just as effective as beams and stuff... after all, whose to say they are like the ones we have now?
wouldn't you think advances would be made to make them more effective

a nuke missile would still do damage as much as a beam, theres just the little snag of the fact it can be intercepted more easily.

see, my faction can use projectile weapons, the drone pods and stuff get shot out just like i missile or bullet, but instead of exploding they disassemble and start eating the ship....

anyway, back on my original point, domain isn't the only reason a race would go underground

you can make it your race had a war and went underground for that(make up the enemy, then you can say the enemy was beaten, or whatever), or, like i originally said, they could be a subterranean people....

As long as they have enough power to actually battle mine or other factions then your in the clear, and bullets in space wouldn't be exactly possible, remember that space is a vacuum, the bullet could not travel, and the cost of putting little rockets would be huge, and even further because each rocket would be destroyed, so yes, bullets and other projectiles would be irrelevant.

Ummm...the bullet would travel fine. In fact, it'd move faster because there wouldn't be any air resistance. As long as you have air in the combustion area, because that's needed both to create fire and to force the bullet out of the barrel. You just wouldn't hear anything because sound can't travel in a vacuum.
