well i have XP not VISTA but i have it installed on the C:\ and the target matches the one in the readme, but it takes me to the oriinal game

Yoda, RJ, thanks for trying to help out- but I have it working now.
The Mod quite honstly, is the best modification of a game I have downloaded before.
My favourite bit that you've done is making it fit better into a real battle looking thing, without the team colours for units. It makes it look sweet.
The different camera angles are awesome and the new factions are sooooooo cool. (Your Arnor is the best I've seen, I've tried a few mods for arnor)

Just delete the 'RJ_RotWK_1_06' folder wherever you dragged it.

I dont know if this was already posted, but I was wondering about the audio and video. I read the installing instructions and got the video working but the audio isnt there. I followed it step by step. Does it have to be _RJ_Campagn_Audio or _RJ_Campaign_Audio? If anyone could send me the big file I would apprecieate it. Also it is in the ROTWK start file because I tried ROTWK it didnt work. Thank You if you reply and help out.

hey i have recently downloaded and extracted the RAR file, but when i go to run the mod (via a desktop icon with the mod files on "C:\RJ_RotWK_1_06") it comes up with a messege saying something along the lines of upgrade_AragonsKnifeAttack is not an upgrade or something, and then i get a game crash.
can anyone help me with this problem?

ok i got that issue out of the way. but now i cut straight to un-modified EA's RotWK, and i dont understand how to fix it

I don't know enough to diagnose your exact problem, so I suggest you run through the basic troubleshooting checklist:
1) Check to make sure the folder RJ_ROTWK is DIRECTLY in your C: drive, i.e. not a folder RJ_ROTWK that contains another folder RJ_ROTWK.
2) Check to make sure that the shortcut leads to C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king\lotrbfme2ep1.exe -mod C:\RJ_RotWK_1_06
3) If those don't help, delete the RJ_ROTWK folder and re-extract it from the .rar file. It may have been corrupted during the extraction process.
4) Re-download the mod, then re-extract it to the C: drive. It may have been corrupted during download.
5) If all else fails, sometimes it works to re-install the game itself and try everything over again.
I'm afraid I'm not a computer genius and can't really help you beyond that. Other things that might cause problems are if you have other mods installed or the unofficial 2.02 patch.

That's odd....I'm not sure if this would cause it, but the Start in should be:
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king"
with the quotes. Other than that, make sure the mod folder isn't inside another folder named RJ-RotWK...it can double like that if you extract it weirdly. Double check to make sure the names of the folder and the target shortcut match.

the mod is great! btw.
only thing that is slightly dissapointing is that 1. good campaign - after finishing the mines of moria, the game stats come up, and then it leads back to the main menu and i cant continue with the campaign, and 2. you cant combine two ithilien footsoldier battalions.
does anyone know how to fix this?

The campaign isn't finished yet, so u have only one mission at the moment. You can play more missions in war of the ring mode, there is RJ campaign mode (don't remember exect name). There would be elven missions you should autoresolve, couse elves are still beta in war of the ring. So good luck in campaign mate.

I'm in need of some help. I have downloaded the file, then used win rar. Ive fiddled about with the short cut details and when ever I try to load it the initial game loading screen comes up then aborts telling me to place the correct dvd into the drive? (I’m using XP if that helps..?). Oh and I;ve recently updated to the 2.01 patch.
My ROTWK files are stored on my external hard drive ( F:\EA Games\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king ) and the save files are in the C drive ( C:\Documents and Settings\Dan\Application Data\My The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king Files ).
I extracted the RJ_RotWK_1_06 files to the same place as the majority of my ROTWK files in the F drive. However I have done nothing with the C drive stuff, which contain Map, Map previews and save folders. I then pulled the short - cut to the desk top and changed the properties.
So I have changed the target to read - "F:\EA Games\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king\lotrbfme2ep1.exe" -mod "F:\EA Games\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king\RJ_RotWK_1_06"
And the start in to - "F:\EA Games\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king".
However this just starts to load the normal game then says to insert the correct dvd and restart....

Hey, im not gonna pretend that i can definately fix your problem, but i can give it a shot (especially with the 'open original game' issue). Be sure to check that the RJ-ROTWK files arnt saved into another 'rj_rotwk_1_06' folder. just open up the folder, and if there is another folder in there, add another "RJ_rotWK_1_06" to the target.
As for the "Start In", you will have to have "F:\EA Games\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king\RJ_rotWK_1_06", and you may have to add another "\RJ_rotWK_1_06" (depending on whether or not your RJ game files are saved in another folder.
i hope that helps, but if not sorry thats the best i can do (not being admin and all)
