Unless you elaborate on your statement and provide good reasoning on why they should not wield two blades, it doesn't matter what you like.

I think two is fine...they're gonna have an interesting fighting style.

definetly NOT crimson, i think blue, gold, or silver could be good. maybe, pure white with some symbol, but not crimsonn

Red wouldn't be that bad. Look Here
True, this one's armor is more golden, but the concept remains the same.
I agree with the other colors, blues, golds, and silvers would look good.

Well... time for a semi elaborate statement. I don't think that the Noldor should use 2 blades because they were never mentioned using 2. Most used a sword or a sword and shield for melee (according to Tolkein's books). Second... the Legolas dual-sword fighting discipline has tons of glitches. The Eowen style didn't work bad for Cirdan but obviously isn't meant for 2 swords (doesn't meen he shouldn't have them). From what I inferenced... the Teleri/Sindar/Avari/Silvan were the more... guerilla-like ones, so 2 swords for them is fine. Point out any flaws in my statement and I'll counter them.

P.S. Red, gold, blue, silver and white all look good on Noldor... Just not green, save that for the Silvans (Laiquendi or Green Elves)
P.P.S. Figwit is stupid
P.P.P.S. Why I said that completely evades me

Possibly a randomazation between 2 and 1 swords?
And the colors as well? Or were you hoping to make them more uniform?

Elves are a 'disciplined' faction and hence a uniform is more suited imo.

A randomisation between 1 and 2 swords would undermine the 2-sword wielders; basically 1-sword wileders will make 2-sword wielders look crap.

Yes. So long as the dual-wielding is restricted to a single unit, and maybe some heroes, I myself don't have any qualms with it.

Cirdan is ok for duel wielding but it seems weird for heavily armoured Elves to use 2 swords... Have you even tried using
dual swords with heavy armour? Dual swords are meant for speed and agility (flipping and twirling moves and such), not for full-frontal assault. Dual swords are good for cutting down lots of enemies, just not while you are in heavy armour. You are supposed to be lightly armoured so you can kill by the dozen. I would have no qualms if they just had a robe for the bottom with the cuirass and no helm and were NOT Noldor or Vanyar (Vanyar stayed in Valinor so forget them). Something like Teleri, Sindar, Silvan, Nandor or Avari would be tollerable.
P.S. Figwit is stupid
P.P.S. Yet again, I don't know why I said that but he is
P.P.P.S. HE IS!!!!!!!
P.P.P.P.S. For those of you who don't know who he is, he's that one guy who tells Arwen she cannot delay and stuff in the movies
P.P.P.P.P.S Did you know he doesn't exist in Tolkien's lore?

Why are you continually bringing that up? It has nothing to do with anything being discussed in this Thread.
For such an "intellectual", you sure don't know how to convey a point very well.

Whatever... Just don't make the animations stupid... Legolas's one doesn't work with melee at all... The only thing I can see is a custom one or the Corsairs of Umbar... If you could find a really good animation, I'd change my mind.

A thought just struck me.
What if the colors were random, but it affected the entire battalion?
As in this batt is all red, but then another is all blue? Is it possible?

And while I perfer one sword, I don't really mind two. So just whatever you guys decide.

Sounds good to me. Could reflect the 'battalion' aspect of the game...and I believe the Romans did something similar to this.

Wow... That IS a good idea! Also, others may feel the same way about the 1/2 sword issue... but never mind it. Its just the Noldor seemed to be the most organized and similar to one another... forget it. If you do follow through with the 2 swords thing, please let me know what animation you will use for it.

I acutally like that. I think I could figure out something to do with that.

As far as the animations, I'm working right now with the Wildman animations. They actually came out really nice, but I'm adding the coding for selection anims and removing some of the "wildman"ish idle animations. There are only like 1 or 2 that I don't care for. Overall, I think the animations work very well. 2 weapon anims.

Woo! Only here a couple days, and my ideas are already accepted! :thumbsupsmiley:

Anyways, I'm not seeing the wildman animations, but then again I never looked closely at them :)
I'll trust to your judgement. As if there is anything else I can do :p

You can complain about them not fitting your vision, and though not being a part of the team, think your ideas will be accepted anyway and the previous ones thrown out.. :p

I said "I" for a reason. I have too much sense to try to sway a modder..... too hard anyways :)

Thinking about it though, I can't think of anything else that would fit better.

As I've said before...very sluggish :p but at least they get the two-weapons deal down.

I've played with different speeds for the animations so they won't be as sluggish.
