keep in mind everyone, that this is a last-resort. we are not by any means itching to get rid of the cah system; it will only be done if absolutely necessary.

Now there is a problem. I can"t use CAHs with MOTE, Rohan, Arnor. Would be nice if fixed.
CAHs are not Tolkienish but I am used to play with them(and without as well).

i believe that if you press the first letter of the name of the hero you want to use when choosing heros, it should let you use that one. not entirely positive though as i have not tried it myself.

I think that with those heroes the player could add a personal flavor to the battle.
But I might have a suggestion:
Before I played the BFME II pc version, I played the 360 version.
In that version there was no create a hero mode, but you could unlock several heroes by getting achievements.
So instead of using CAH's you could make some premade heroes.
Now for people who think that somthing like that would conflict with lore and stuff, you could use characters from other LOTR installments like:
Berethor, Idrial, Hadhod, Eodon, Elegost, Morwen (All from LOTR the third age, some of them were default CAH's, but if you remake them please give hem the skills they really had, Idrial was a sorceress, not an archer!)
Melkor (or something, the guy that fought tom Bombadil and featured in "the one ring to rule them all" www.legendaryfrog.com)
Some of the surviving dwarves from "The Hobbit"
Smaug?
Perhaps you could even give every hero a different Perk.
Like if you choose Imharill, you can train some type of extra unit.
Or if you choose a dwarf, you're faction will be able too built some sort of mineshaft.
Just throwing up a ball here.
"Is that all there is? ... no challenge? ... no resistance?"
"Fear...fear is the mind killer!"
"Don't see it as an obstacle, see it as an chalange!"

Though I am a bit bummed by the fact the woman 'shield maiden' can not wear a White Tree Gondor Tunic like the 'Man of the West' can. IMO I think the appearance schematics should be the same for men and women toons. I would like to see men and women of the west have the ability to toggle weapons from bow's to two handed swords like Faramir the Hero can, and the female Elven Archer CaH. Sometimes I just like to draw my big mother of a sword and wade into those orcs all close and personal like, know what I mean ?
I'm sure you have alot on your plate Rob, but if you decide to ever tinker with the CaH System and give it a revamp, thought I'd give you a couple idea's Id like to see. (Stated above.)
But to end this, yes, Id like to see the CaH system stay.

Amileth is right. I have different wording, though. NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO REMOVAL!!!!! It will effect your mod the precise same way steroids effect the human body. Create-a-Hero is meant to give factions irresitable opprotunities and works with Gondor , Elves , Dwarves , Arnor (WAAAAAT?), Isengard , Mordor , Goblins , and Angmar (WAAAAAT?). The 4th Good Create-a-Hero should switch to Rohan and the 4th Evil Create-a-Hero should switch to Men of the East. That is the only change needed, other then what the other KEEP IT IN posts reccommend. So, are you going to listen to morally right preaching? Or are you going to tox* your hugely-loved mod in this braindead way? Choose carefully Remember the discussion on whether you should make WotR factions have CaH and Arnor and Angmar not? Keep the answer to that question the same in every way to this one's answer: "Yes for perfect time-zone-acknowledging reasons".

Your work on all the rest is so good, I know the comunity don't want you limited by keeping a mainly redundent ( for purist players ) , game imbalancing mess, called CaH.
just my 10 p worth.. the mod is amazing, pity I can't get the elven builder to work in WotR mode. Im sure your aware of all bugs so I'll just sit tight and drool at the way you are making this game 100 times better
