Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.
I had the meaning of life in my signature, but it exceeded the character limit.

IT does not take too long to install though
You only need to download 2 (4 now) files (fixes wont be needed in the next release ) and run their installers, very quick and simple, and almost no way to screw it up

i have downloaded both parts of the installer, and have the RotWK disc. i have copied and pasted game2.dat into the rcmod bfme2 folder. i get the screen coming up (purple one with ridder clan written on it, i think its called the splash screen?). it then starts loading with the timer, then freezes. any ideas?

So you did exactly as the installation help text said?
Loading with timer? do you mean "after" the ""Movie""?

Strange... maybe you anti-virus program is trying to block it? (can cause some games to crash/freeze)

im very sorry, i fixed it - all i needed to do was restart the computer (you should say that its recommended to restart your pc after installing the full version of the mod, might help some a little bit, considering it was my problem ).
Oh, and i ment the image which appears, like the printscreen you have at the top of this page, i believe (without the "insert correct CD message of course).
now, i have one final problem - i can ow play, but a few minutes into the game (about 5 if that), all my units die. ive tried both non RC and RC maps and both vandas and ridder clan did it. the only thing i can think of is when playing vandas, i restarted the map quite early in the game, and the problem started there - i dont know if its anything to do with a restart bug or anything, or if you could get a bug there, but if u can look at it, id be very appreciative .

Sometimes it is not generated correctly and the game sees it as something illegal, but this can also not be the case, though if your game is illegal, i strongly suggest you buy the real thing
If your normal BFME 2 game is not crashing... then follow these steps...
1. copy the game2.dat from the bfme 2 game to the rc mod
2. go to the 'support' folder in the rc mod and run: The Battle for Middle-earth II - RC Mod_code
3. enter the code that you used in when installing your bfme 2 game (if you dont know what it is look in RegEdit, explained in the "install help"(B1))

I bet your BFME 2 game is crashing too, the reason for this happening is because of an error with the Game2.dat created by the installer, the Game2.dat must 'correspond' with the serial you entered

it certainly is a legal copy, problem is though i have two, since, long story short, i lost the book to one with the installation code, so bought another version, then found the book again. so, i think both codes work with both games, but i might have mixed the booklets up
i havent tried bfme2 atm because i dont really play it much (im more of a RotWK person )
ill try them steps and see if i can get it workin, thanks for that. i didnt need the B1 or B2 steps, just the normal process, but might have entered the wrong code or something anyways, thanks for all the help, it helps! ( )

wat is the regedit for my cd key and since i dun hav rotwk what do i do? i dont no much about computers so i dun no alot of this stuff
--------
i dont get this part:
Extract the files out of the LotrBfMe2RCMod.rar (3.2 +/- GB!)
3-Mount or Burn the "CD" to a cd/dvd.
---Mount it with DEAMON TOOLS or another mounting programhttp://www.daemon-tools.cc/home
--DEAMON TOOLS is an easy tool to work with and should not be too hard to understand, but if you have problems you can always ask in our forums!
4-After mounting the CD you must Hide the real CD Drive - There may be some programs for this, you can also do this manually -B2 is manual hiding
"thenumber6"
What part there are you having diffictulty with?
Can you not extract the RAR file? If no then go to google.com and search for WinRAR
Also go to http://www.daemon-tools.cc/home and download DAEMON TOOLS And install both
RegEdit is only needed if you do not know what Serial you used for installing BFME 2 IF you do know then you just need to enter the serial u used when installing
