open mycomputer

go to hard drive C: or D: click with rightmb to open a rollbar, click on properties wit leftmb

go to the hardware tab

you find your drives there, now disable your normal drive (mostly devided by company name and product name)

thats it.

Are you sure you entered it correctly?
There is a way to manually get your serial to work with the mod... though i'd rather we try it again before considering a difficult alternative :p

Did you copy the game2.dat? :p
Did you extract the data.zip? (read the instructions...) :grin:

Maybe the instructions were not updated, my bad :sad:

6 EXTRACT the data.zip in your installed directory for the movies!
(This should create a data folder with 2 folders (Cursors & Movies) in your install directory.)
--If you have done all of this correctly the mod should run on your pc now.

there's a file in the data folder called RCdata.big if that's what you're talking about. here's the crash error, word for symbol :p

INI::load, cannot open file
'Data/INI/Default/SubsystemLegendExpansion1.ini'
7 addresses:
(unknown)(0):game.dat+239838 Debug::PostStaticInit+3390
(unknown)(0):game.dat+2346667
StringBase<char>::~StringBase<char>+262887
(unknown)(0):game.dat+2376649
LineSegment2D::~LineSegment2D+20490
(unknown)(0):game.dat+6541831 Xfer::operator==+119943
(unknown)(0):kernel32.dll+584907 BaseThreadInitThunk+14
(unknown)(0):ntdll.dll+512589 RtlCreateUserProcess+140
(unknown)(0):ntdll.dll+513119 RtlCreateProcessParameters+78

Because of the severity of this error the game will now exit.

The files in the "data" folder need to be 'dragged out' into the installed folder thing :wink_new: where the other bigs are :p :sad:

:wink_new: Thanks :sad: This issue that some may get is partially my fault... the stupid installer failed to compile the movies and the RCData.big... so i had to put those in a zip which are to be manually extracted... :p

Hi. :D I've been following the installation steps to install the RC Mod, but when I get to step 4, there is a problem. When I click the link to get the Updater thingy, it says "404 Not Found." Or:

"The requested URL /Downloads/RCModUpdater.exe was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

??? ^_^ I am unable to continue with the installation until the URL thing fixes??? :p

Hey im new to this mod, i have been reading up on it whilst it dowloaded and have found out how to fix everything, but i still have a proplem...
When i get into the game ( rc mod) it gets to the map of middle earth ( with your custom images on it ( such as the snake for harad, and the bear footprint at the bottom left of the screen )), the problem is it gets there and just stays there ...
i let it stay there for 10 minutes still didnt load

Hylex :)

I believe CTLN had the same problem as you with installing it a few days ago :)

-------------------------------
Ok CTLN sais that most likely you forgot to extract the Data.ZIP (In the installed folder) which should replace a few folders and files :)
