Installing the RC Mod

Have you downloaded the fix? Also make sure you downloaded the RCData file :wink_new:



You know for people late in the game having broken links isnt very helpful.

I will Search for this "Fix" myself because I am curious about this mod alot of Interesting changes I see in it.

If I fail in my quest to get this fix could someone else give me it or a working link please?

Ok As far as I can tell BFME II Works fine but I cannot seem to change my heros at all... Not even color it dont save the changes I make.

And It still tell me after following all the instructions that I need to put in the right disc.

You should not need the fix IF you downloaded V1.02... :wink_new:

Did you enable all the "Advanced" options in Daemon tools?
-Safedisc
-Securom
and stuff like that? :p
It is known to cause problems :p

At first all the advanced options where off I read somewhere that I was supposed to enable them I thought....

I am reinstalling everything and trying again will let you know how it goes.

Sorry I messed up that last post. I have the same problem that afflicted drogoth 232. I get to the screen that says insert correct cd. I have disabled all cd/dvd drives, moved over game data, installation is in the correct place, everything is fine, but yet I am still having trouble. Worse yet is I don't have MSN. Can anyone help?

So you mounted the smaller of the 2 files in the RAR/ZIP ? :facepalm:

i get a strange INI file severe error thing... installed normally into the RCmod folder not BFME folder. did everything how it said. i have 1.06 patch i copied over game2.dat disabled CD drive mounted CD gets past that gets to custom splash screen where RidderClan appears then boom error... i have the SEE mod installed if that would od anything

You did download the latest version of the mod right? :p
And how did you install SEE? using a mod command? if yes then that should not cause any problems... :p

What does the error say specifically?

I have a problem. I installed it and followed the directions exactly, but when I start the mod, it takes a long time to load and when it finally stops, it just goes back to the main screne. What is going on?! :evgr:

With main screen you mean your desktop? Or do you mean the main menu?
If its the desktop then you may have forgotten to copy the game2.dat from your BFME 2 folder to the RC Mod folder :D

Also, In XP you can go use

Start->Run->applicationdata

EDIT:

do you have to create a virtual cd, or can you just use the cd that you made?
