I think they mentioned something about the better CaH and WOTR systems.

Well really I did it for convenience and laziness being an RJ staff member I pretty much always have the ROTWK king game in my drive for testing models etc. So just by force of habit when I started coding I used the ROTWK set of files, I'm not ruling out a BFMEII version, we're at an early enough stage to swap over but atm it's ROTWK and I don't want to say anything about conversions to BFMEII or a full swap over until I talk to the other members of the mod. While I do understand that more people are going to have the game BFMEII and so if the mod were to be marketed to a broader audience then we should probably convert to BFMEII, however for the sake of convenience seeing as we're all working on a large scale mod all ready in either part time or full capacity (RJ-ROTWK) then it would probably be easier to keep everything under the same umberella. And I'm only speaking for myself here.

Plus if we ever seriously think about adding a CAH Jedi option the ROTWK are going to have more options in like to what we have in mind

Plus RJ's work on the WOTR system in ROTWK would be a vital template for StarWars maps in the future

Well, I personally have no intention of ever getting ROTWK - since BfME 2 was such an unholy dogshit of a 'game'. More pointless content to an already unplayable game was just a waste of disk space :p

I think they mentioned something about the better CaH and WOTR systems.

Seems somewhat frivelous. The differences are still pretty minor.

Ok, I think me and ed have decided to do BFME2, and just port it over to rotwk for some extended features if we get far enough.

It will probably be easy to port anyway, I would imagine - if all your structures, hordes, units and weapons are written as unique objects, instead of over-writing existing units.

I think it's just a matter of taking out the extra content and placing it in the other files, I'll take a look later and see if we can convert it

Converting from BFME 2 to ROTWK is easy :p
the RC Mod is currently doing something like that, but not exactly like that, ah well people will see later what the end result is :p

If that's the case, then fuck it, do both at the same time.

There's no point in doing both, if you have ROTWK, then you definitely have BFME2 so one version is more than enough :p

But you don't need RotWK to have BFME2 :p

Would like to see some rock objects on the map, maybe find out about adding dust clouds if it's possible, just to add a bit more variety.

Ya I think there is a need to have some objects on the map to stave off monotony, perhaps some dunes as well, cos the it would add depth to the other wise flat terrain, I realise there is a raised plateau in the middle but due to fact that most players will be using the default views there is a necessity to add flavour to the map, a couple of rocks, dead grass, uneven terrain would work wonders for this map, just imagine the nevada desert and you can't really go wrong. everything else is just lighting and atmosphere
