So, I was thinking, how are you going to narrate the story? Are you going to do that with just text messages, or are you actually going to make little movies?

Between missions there will always be a short movie that will tell the story.

But when we're talking about the story told when playing the campaign missions, I will always try to stay away from using just plain text messages - for every important situation on the battlefield there will always be hero&units speeches, dialogues and another sound effects for better atmosphere.

If you get to play one of my maps you'll see this is propably one of the biggest differences from other fan made singleplayer creations.

Maybe you can extract some new voice lines from the movies, rather than sticking to the ones that are used in bfme's existing missions

The problem with voices from the movies is the background noise. Still, the old BFME1 has plenty of unused sounds which should be more than enough.

And yes, I am pale... but since I went to a waterpark a month ago, I'm more tan than I was back then.

Back on topic, I've never taken a look at bfme1's files. Hope you find enough material to make RoS sound new and proffessional

Well, Sam could not have destroyed the one ring mainly because Tolkein said that no one would be able to destroy the one ring(on purpose) and Gollum slipped while he was dancing(not pushed) and fell in accidentally, for the fights,the elven rings did not make the owners more powerful,they just made it possible to mantain their realms(Elrond has Vilya-the ring of air,Galadriel has Nenya-the ring of water, and Cirdan HAD Narya-the ring of fire but gave it to Gandalf because he sensed (when the Istari came to Middle-Earth) that Gandalf was the wisest ,Gandalf always thought that no one but the other ring bearers knew this ,but Saruman did and was jealous , Sauron NEVER ACTUALLY knew who had the rings,just suspected it(he thought galadriel had the ring of water and elrond had the ring of air) and Elrond and Galadriel would not have been able to use the rings without being corrupted,they only used the rings when Sauron lost his(when Sauron first made his ring,the ring bearers sensed his treachery and took theirs off immediately) so their are two reasons why Galadriel or Elrond would not have been able to use the power of their rings. AND... Sauron was a higher class than Galadriel because he was an angelic being(or maia)and Galadriel was the last of the HIGH Noldor. Plus Sauron always wanted to look into the mind of Galadriel (so there is a tiny chance he was in love with her). There can be NO duel between Gandalf and Sauron(maybe between Gandalf and Saruman) because Gandalf was forbidden to ever fight Sauron in an actual duel so the best fight you can have for SAURON is either with Galadriel,Aragorn,Saruman(if he betrays Sauron),and maybe Elrond.

Hey, can you break it up into a few different paragraphs next time? This is hard to make sense of.

I think it was more like no mortal would have been able to destroy the ring... However, I'd like to see the quote. It doesn't seem very much like Tolkien to make a literally irresistible temptation... It doesn't line up with his what I know of his works and his beliefs... and how his works were influenced by his beliefs.

But I feel the same way about making entire species that are evil... Doesn't make much sense to me, but I've realized it isn't that simple. Most, if not all Orcs hated and resented the dark lord (whether Sauron or Morgoth) deep down iirc. There may be something like this with the ring, but I'd like to see the quote.

Also, I believe Glorfindel was considered a high elf... But he wasn't as old as Galadriel.

Finally, though, Saruman and Sauron might have fought, because Saruman actually had betrayed Sauron long ago... iirc, Saruman had no intention of working for Sauron other than, perhaps, as a passing thought. He wanted the ring for himself, and Sauron found this out very quickly. However, it's Said that Saruman was doing the will of Sauron though he didn't know it.

Anyways, this is all from my memory... Not quite sure of the details on some of it.

Well that was good idea about Sauron and Saruman fought to be ruler of Middle-Earth,Tolkien also mention that in books already...but Dre@mer said Gandalf is still alive so i guess untimate match will be Sauron vs Gandalf ,as for Saruman i think Sauron have plan to deal with him after he enslave people of middle-earth Saruman are no use to him.
