There's a guy with a staff. What else is he going to be? Also, still random person on a fellbeast.

Agandar might be an emmissary sent by Sauron to the North to gather the armies ,, in my opinion it would be like Mouth of Sauron, a Black Numenorean into the forest of Mirkood , don't you think so ?
I agree with Sparta , I don't like much the "fire" sword ..... reminds me LotrConquest or Star Wars , it's not very tolkienish . But what is the fortress seen in the beginning of the trailer ? I think it's Dol Guldur , not sure though .

Yes, I realize the reason they conjured him up; but I don't agree with it.

Well my hopes where destroyed once again after I read the Article that went with the video... Another RPG with its world being in levels and not Free Roam. Along with the fact that you HAVE to have 3 people in your party that are basically already set for you with barely any customization.

Why cant every RPG be more like the Elder Scrolls God Dammit.

Well depends , how these levels are made , if it's in the theme like Dragon Age, I'm ok with that.

Yeah , the landscapes are awesome ! really fit with the Misty Mountains or Mirkwwod ! the characters' animations are very good , it's merely flawless ; the orcs and goblins are easily recognizable , as well as Cave troll , which is impressive .
Do you see Rivendell in the new trailer ? it looks awesome ! 4 really hope we can take a walk in the hidden sanctuary :p

Well, as yams posted, here's a quote for that stupid antagonist:

Who’s Agandaur? “Far back in the history of the Men of Middle-earth, there was a group of Númenóreans who went over to the dark side and became servants of Sauron. The Mouth of Sauron and Agandaur are both descended from that group. Agandaur is ambitious and he’s become one of Sauron’s chief lieutenants. He’s been sent to the North of Middle-earth to open up another front in the War of the Ring, and he’s doing his job very effectively.”

And even worse..

“Currently the design for the party is that each race is their own class, but that you’ll be able to customize that character widely enough for different play styles."

This will really be a game that will need some seriously fine ass gameplay to get me going.. currently it doesn't hit my spots at all. Or, I can agree that the landscapes looks nice enough in that latest movie :thumbsupsmiley:

Who else are they going to use for an antagonist. I find him quite fitting. Khamul... is just to, real ;P.

You want a game that isn't real? ;)

I'd rather see a Nazgul or another.. Or even Mouth of Sauron. IMO, you wouldn't have to acctually fight the antagonist.. I don't know how the story of the game goes, but the War in the North didn't end any sooner than the War of the Ring itself, when Sauron was defeated (or close to it) and when he dies, you win.

There was no grand known commander of Mordors northern armies, I say leave it at that. Of course, I have no say in the issue.

Well, Lord of the Rings Online didn't have a real LOTR villain and that worked out =/. As in real, I meant exactly par on with Tolkien Lore. The mouth of Sauron would have made no sense. He was the Lieutenant of Barad Dur.

Khamul would made sense, but I like this new villain =/. I doubt I may even get this game

Have you guys seen the new Combat Trailer? Here it is if you haven't. In my opinion the gore looks good, badass how you can cut off body parts.

Wasn't much gore there?
Yeah, heads roll, but in terms of bloody gore, it was very little.

Still, doesn't look to bad now.. I'm still indifferent on getting it or not, but knowing me, I'll probably get it because it's a LotR RPG.

To please the feminists. yup, not very Lotr-ish, seen the fact that the Fellowship consisted of men. Fuck that, not just the fellowship, the Council of Elrond consisted of men, for as far as I know.
If the above post offended you in any way,
please take note that, until further notice, I don't care, so get lost.

I doubt the idea behind it is to "please the feminists". Plenty of games with only male protagonists. They just want to engage the broadest audience they can, not only Tolkien purists. Which is why I won't be buying it, but teenagers will probably be lining up.

Also, Galadriel was a part of the Council of Elrond.
