It wasn't really giving me the Peter Jackson and New Line feeling.
I got more of a Tolkien and book(ish) feeling
I sound weird.....

I love how they combine movie elements with actual book elements ,a decent storyline , enough information about everything , side quests that are inspired by real book events . Good game for a LOTR fan .

That was awesome as they went into a lot of depth
And I think that the orcs and trolls and especially the Nazguls looked awesome

- Same kind of false advertising as BFME. The trailer gives the impression that this game has awesome fighting scenes, and loads of slo-mo combos and visually appealing combat, sort of like Max Payne-style. In game, I mostly find the same tiresome never ending fast pased hack n slash as in Conquest?
- The balance is WAY off. I can slash a goblin, like 10-12 times while blood sprays all over, but it doesn't die. When the goblin strikes me, I loose 1/3 of my health though? It's friggin hard to kill enemies and really easy to die? The bosses are redicilous... I'm currently at the first boss behind the blocked gate and Agandaûr's castle... the orc chieftain. It's like fighting a darn balrog.
- Trolls look more like... the Grendel from Beuwulf, than the trolls from the movies and they are INSANELY hard to kill.
- The audio is very repeatative and the dialog where you choose what to say seems pointless?
Just my 2 cents...

Besides, it's not hard to figure out what happens at the end. Agandaûr's killed and we've got ourselves 3 heroes, right? It's not an original story at all...

I do think it's visually quite appealing, especially the enviroment and general visuals. The models are good too. But the hack n slash is sooooo boring after a while. I can't seem to mange more than two moves as well, with my ranger. Worst of all is the balace. You should have to strike a friggin goblin 12-17 times with a SWORD before it dies. It's just like Conquest, only slightly more polished IMO.

I thought it was an awesome game just because I love those games and it was LotR
My main problems were:
1) As Nazgul said, way to unbalanced... the health ratio is almost 1:5
2) Tharzog had ridiculous strength for an orc, I mean I shot him with arrows in the brain, heart and chest but he just refused to die
3) That dum dragon story? If my character has killed 100 trolls, defeated 2 sorcerers, the greatest mountain giant, a great giant spider, half of Mt. Gundabad, barrow wights and many orcs, then I'm sure a dragon can't be too much of a mission
4) Those orcs that kept on swinging their blades even while hitting them were annoying
5) The damage was not realistic, head shots and vital organs meant fokol to the game
6) The characters back stories weren't that great "I am one of the Dunedain" end of story, book closed... At least the 3rd Age gave the characters life stories
But I did enjoy:
1) The battle FX's
2) The graphics on the armour and all the characters
3) How the lore was given as a bonus in character conversation
Gameplay:
1) Buying items
2) Discovering items
3) Side quests
And that's it really
