I wonder if it is possible for some units in the RA2 engine can be given cliff scaling abilities.

I have a crazy gametype idea. I call this gametype "Nirvana". In this gametype every faction can build their ultimate weapon in the very beggining, which doesn't require anything to build (only ConYard), and costs 0, also the build time is 0. The ultimate weapon counter starts from 5 minutes and requires 1500 energy to use it. Power structures are disabled, so the only way to make energy is capturing tech powerplants or tech nuclear plants, and those are protected by various neutral defenses and units. Also, the neutral defenses use 0 energy, so they will still function if the power is cut out.

Black is very difficult to see on the minimap.

Black is very difficult to see on the minimap.


Not to even mention on the textbox with solid black background that displays text in multiplayer/from triggers.

I think we should raise from 3 subfactions each side to 4.For example Allied will get Israel (We need a representative for the Allied in the Mid East),Soviet will get Arab kingdom(consist of Iraq and good old Gaddaffi's Libya) while the Epsilon should get all their factions like Psicorps,chaos force,scorpion cells and headquarter.Also,we should give each faction some unique abilities like last time.Here are some of mine ideas
Allies USA Hit and run All building cost 33% less time and ore to build but hitpoints reduce by 25 % (except for superweapons and cons yard)
European confederacy Green base All construction uses 50 % less energy and will function for 15 secs after losing power
Israel The wall of Israel All base defence will have 50 % (wall and gate will get 150 %) more hitpoints,all base defense like grand canon,prism tower,pillbox,patriot missile will get bonus 33 % for attack range,attack speed and attack damage.
Pacific front Kamikaze All aircraft,vehicles will try to get enemies in their maximum range before being destroyed,dealing damage to enemies.
Soviet
USSR Five year plans Industrial plants can reduce 33 %-50 % of unit cost,it's price and power consumption reduce by 50 % and can be built after a war factory.All tanks hitpoints increase by 20 but slower 0.5
China Conscription All infantry reduces 20-33% of cost
Arab kingdom Nuclear powered all telsa reactor cost 10 % more and explode violently when destroy but increase power production to 100 % and add 50% hitpoints.
Latin Confederation Ambush All infantries are 1 points quicker
Epsilon
Headquarter Sneak attack All buildings are invisible,but cost 20 % more ore and 75 % more energy.
Scorpion cells Scavenge Grinder is available from the beginning, flying disc is 50 % faster in taking enemies ore
I don't have any idea left.About the unique weapons for each subfaction,please visit the unique unit page. And feel free to give me any advice you have

Israel? I'm not even sure if Israel exist here... Even if, i don't think that such small, single country could be so important and powerful enough to justify being a subfaction. They would sooner be part of the Euro Alliance.

Similarly, Chaos Force would rather be part of the current Scorpion Cell, and there is nothing soviet in an Arabian side. Quite the contrary - an arabian side might have become part of the Allied forces instead.

Also, side-specific buffs are gone, and from Speeder's stance on them, i doubt they'll return. :p

Damn, I still remember the times where I got Iraq just to spam veteran and 20% faster Apocs :p

Well,Israel are one freaking tough bunch kicking butt from 1948. They can,and do,handle a bunch of crazy armies come crashing at their door on their own,so I guess they can handle it easily.
The Arab before and in the 80s were normally on Soviet side because the Israelies are allies to the west whose enemy is Russia,so the enemy of my enemy is my friennd,the Arab did receive lots of aids from Communist countries so they are communist,just don't want to add a communist name on them.About chaos force,i will miss those guys. And the side-specific buffs should be more balance,not like apoc tank produce 20% faster,but some other more balance stuff like better map visibility,cheaper buildings etc along with disadvantage to balance stuff out

Even with positives and negatives, it is still incredibly hard to properly balance side specific buffs and nerfs. Because those units they buff are undoubtedly becoming more cost-efficient, but those nerfed, whenever those are vital (like GGI's when defending against a tank rush), can easily cost you the game.

The idea is however possible whenever we buff and nerf the same units at once, but even that can easily go wrong since some units are affected more than others.

Anyway, about Israel, don't forget to note that World War 2 did not take place in Mental Omega/RA. Therefore, I doubt there would be even enough pressure on the Allies to create Israel, and I would take it for granted that this wouldn't be the case.

Other events, like China's invasion of Tibet, however, would have happened as they had nothing to do with WW II, so using the 1937 world map wouldn't work. Especially not if decolonization is token into account. But things would certainly have gone different in many, many cases.

How about this for the Meteor Storm mode in which the Allied/Epsilon/Soviet AI gets to use all units and support powers for each of it's factions respective subfactions (Epsilon's use all HQ, PsiCorp & SC assets; Soviet's use all LC, PRC & USSR assets: and Allies use all PF, EA, USA assets).

well, my guess is that it will make a slow and laggy game only slower and more laggy. and why only limit it to the AI, why can't the player get anything like that?

Aside from renaming "Attack Dogs" to "Puppies"

 

You should add a "Deploy" Function to Dogs, so that they pee (mark their territory) and then other dogs cant walk near (9x9 grid) of that peed location for a short time... Similar to that of a deployed Desolator :3

 

And in Scavenger mode, you should Add another MCV attached to Balloons like in the film 'UP' so that Air Units can be grinded :D

Not entirely true. They are campaign-only units.

I inspired from IconofEvi and Darkstorm and made my own Mental Omega political map. I didn't added Epsilon cells because this map shows the situation before Act I.
