Leonidas, same as the Athens hero(es) won't be very powerful individually. He'll be there mostly for support, and won't give more than a small edge in combat.

As it should be! Sending a lone hero out (i.e. Legolas or Aragorn) should be a suicide mission. Great that you implement this.Leonidas, same as the Athens hero(es) won't be very powerful individually. He'll be there mostly for support, and won't give more than a small edge in combat.

Leonidas should certainly have a spear throw and leadership, but is there a way to make spear throw leave the hero vulnerable for a certain amount of time? After all, unless he carries a quiver of spears, there's no way he could hurl one and immediately have another in his hand...

I say let him throw his spear right before he dies? Auto-aim and stuff like that? After all, losing your spear as a hoplite means you're desperate, I think.Leonidas should certainly have a spear throw and leadership, but is there a way to make spear throw leave the hero vulnerable for a certain amount of time? He did... in an exaggerated movie that focussed upon portraying the Persians as retards and the Spartans as bodybuilders with killing-meatbag-skills.Well, Leo did throw his spear at Xerxes right before he died...

Couldn't it be possible for him to equip his sword or whatever upon throwing the spear? I'm sure that the spear wouldn't have to reappear. And then it would be a one shot ability. Literally. Until he dies at least.
After all, he doesn't absolutely need to have a spear to fight. You wouldn't go into battle with one weapon, normally, and especially not if you were someone important.

Perhaps he could have a "Last Stand" ability at lvl 10, that makes him and nearby spartans killing machines for a short period of time, with a huge timer ofc.

Perhaps Leonidas should have a spear by default, which he can throw as a special power. This forces him to use a sword until the power has recharged, after which time he switches to using the spear as normal, or he can choose to throw it again..? Though i don't know whether it would be possible to code, and it could be strange if it finished recharging during combat..

He'll use his sword as well, though. How exactly will be revealed in time.
