I only got ONE suggestion about it, but it might have you remake the Barad Dur part, I think Barad dur should be scaled to highest limit and should get a reskin of a darker and more evil version.

You should also give MORE pics cause it seems SO awesome. :xcahik_: :xcahik_:  :tiger: :tiger: :lion: :lion:

AND a question, is it going to be like VERY strong, very very very very strong? (The gate) And about how much defense does Bard dur have? (Catapults and arrow towers)

Arrow towers. Two near the gate to slow down rushers. But once you have got archers it becomes difficult to siege. And when you get catapults on the defence towers, it gets almost impossible. Also, NJM, does it need a base map so the AI knows where to build buildings? I will have a look at RJ-mod maps.

How bout catapults? and you need to change your sig, you didn't mention Sul in the "Oh and SEE-DC has awesome coders, like Nazg[*insert û here*]l [insert Sûlherokhh here] , and mappers, like NJM." part

And the suggestion of mine?

PS You need to put this in, Barad-dur [99.99%] instead of Barad-dur [90%] Since there could be bugs, unbalancing, (which would require to remove/add/move stuff) and the RJ camera, OHHHH YEA! Maybe a pic with RJ cam?

If I follow you right, I think you're referring to the bse files. The answer would be yes. All fortress maps will need custom ones for the when AI is placed in the fortress starting position.

I didn't know you knew how to do that.

So I will leave the BD 90% and add Sul as a former coder. I think I understand. But Ill get around to it on Sunday, no work on the Sabbath. :)

Oh no the Dwarves have taken Barad-dur!!!
So I assume I am getting this bse file right...
Posted Image

P.S. Here is the Barad-dur Advertisement.
Posted Image

The base files are taking longer than expected because I am trying to test them out and will be making the AI a harder nut to crack. They are bad at properly defending Barad-dur. I will be looking into how to make defence priorities (I know how to do it in Empire Earth perfectly, just got to translate the scripting).

That is a good advert for both your map and for SEE ! :) Your map is a masterpiece , I think we're all eager to play it !
All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king.[1]

Does the map cause lag? I can't imagine something as massive as this running flawlessly

Large forces and extreme zooms cause lag. Posted Image

Seriously there are no unessential parts of the map that cause lag. However the lava is built up with two layers - the bridge above is the only part that could possibly jitter.

Ill have to play test it when I've got time. Kind of poke around for any lag issues. Though I'm sure MTL has everything covered.

I have actually played more BFMEII than I have in a long time. I cant get the AI bases to work, maybe its in some code somewhere. But when I give it forces I can task them to guard key locations, so I've taken steps towards map scripting. Huzza!

And the bridge does cause small framerate decreases when I have units on it attacking. Dramatic changes in terrain heights cause hits on lag. Same with City of the Dead. But its not too bad.

Another Update from MtL.

Here are two maps that have only been modified to the SEEstandard. Pretty easy just a simple selection of trees in the object menu andthen changed the scale.

Iron Hills, Forochel and Fangorn

Posted Image

Fangorn looks great in this new style. But I am thinking of making Treebeard's home somewhere on the map as eye candy.

Next up is another EVIL map. Sauron's Forge, set in the 3rdAge during the War of the Ring. Inspired by EA's Lord of the Rings Conquest mapof the same name, and a strange piece I found in Worldbuilder - will show it later.

Posted Image

Also, and I will be secretive, is a distance shot of an editof a map that EA made, but I deleted all the objects and have been adding someincredible scenery. I don't think it can go into SEE, so if not I will make ita teaser when I have finished it.
