Granted, my experience comes from skirmish (I'll get to multiplayer eventually), but what happened to Gatling Tanks? Or Gatling Turrets for that matter? They're a bit more spammable than Libra/clones, and they're frightening en mass or when they get up to speed.

My enemies don't usually spam Gatling Tanks (not sure why, but instead they spam Archers) unless I spam light infantry

Hmm. Why is it that teal always got this weird feeling of a color? Like, it's the color of "something new, extra, addon, special". Like the Green Ranger, though that's not teal. It's a curious psychological effect, though wonder if it's just me.
Nice screen though! It also reinforces the "Side 4 is China + K.I." theory.
Edit: In fact, I just noticed that the small square is pointing to a different location than the enlarged square is showing (small shows western border of India, big shows the northern border).

Okay at this point given what has been shown in the play through and this screen shot we know 3 things for sure about this 4th faction.
1. 4th faction is to the allies what epsilon is to the soviets. (A lot of hints to this in the play through.) Right down to a sorta color theme.
2.This faction is not made up of any of the sub-factions for the other sides. As far as we know both in vanilla game and mental omega no one knew what yuri was really up to but this screen shot of the first mission of this faction shows they knew something. (that is if this mission happens around the the same time of the other act one first missions)
3. It is most likely India or at least India is very friendly to them. (which makes since if mental omega is keeping to the lore of both red alert 1 and 2)

1. Actually, they come from China in that image.
2. The reveal video shows that teal portal building, with a Kanegawa Industries assembly building nearby, with a Side 4 infantry standing outside. That teal portal building was shown before in an image, when Speeder first showed that the missions will be getting unique loading screens. The mission where that portal was located pointed to be set in China.
3. In Speeder's playthrough of the updated Act 1 missions, in the mission "Think Different", there are now several disabled Side 4 units nearby the K.I. base. Also note that the K.I. HQ building got similar visual themes to the Side 4 logo.
Almost EVERY evidence points that Side 4 is related to Kanegawa Industries, with China completing their research. Then again, it might be also possible that they are only reverse-engineering the technology they found.
Also, I'm still confident that the Side 4 campaign is a sort of semi-Act 3. Speeder said on Facebook at one point that all three factions' Act 2 campaign got a canonical ending. Meaning there's probably no actual victor in the war. Also, it seems that some parts of the Act 2 campaign is about solving the mystery of the Side 4 units... or about -creating them-! (Note this part of the reveal video, that shows the large black tank with Soviet color scheme, kinda like the Lasher tank in Act 1 before Yuri steals it.) So what I'm guessing from all these clues is that Side 4 will be created during Act 2, and their campaign will be the "Final Campaign" of the game, to finish it off.
Edit: More evidence gathered here: http://i60.tinypic.com/13zrf2b.jpg and http://forums.revora...-see/?p=1009074
Edit2: I cannot help, but notice, that the few buildings revealed that might be connected to Side 4, two of them look like if they were connected to the underground. Also, can't help, but notice the stealthed "wires" connecting the buildings. And of course, I can't help, but notice that MIDAS' suggestion post here is almost too suspicious, considering their previous posts hinting at Side 4.
I'm almost having more fun gathering these clues than actually playing the game.

Um were you responding to my points or making your own points? Assuming it is the latter and not the former I'm just going to be blunt and say that I don't see them dropping, removing or remaking any of the sub factions just to make one of them the leading force in a 4th faction anytime soon not when we have countries not talked about at all in the red alerts lore. Lets look at India again and remember that in the red alert timeline world war 2 never happen. Knowing that it opens up a lot of questions like is India still a British "colony" around the time of red alert 2 if not when was it given it's Independence and what does that mean to the global-political landscape of this world? There are a lot of open ended thing in red alerts lore that allow for more interesting and original factions. I will say that yes K.I. might very well be part of this faction just I don't know how at this time.
response to first edit: which only seems to proves my 1st point and your 2nd point( if your second point was to say that K.I. is involved) which I will not argue with.

Time to bump. Side 4 mission loading screen for their 1st one "Nobody Home".
Hmm. This is back to the classic RA2/YR/MO2.0 strategy map loading screen style, as opposed to the MO3.0 picture wall.
Does that mean all sides will go back to it? Were the picture walls placeholders?

Yes they are going back to classic loads screens, or so claims their moddb page.

My post was sort of a reply to your post and making my own points as well. And I'm not saying that any of the subfactions will be remade for Side 4. I'm saying that Side 4 will be born out of China and K.I./Pacific Front working together. Similar how Yuri's Epsilon born out of the Russian subfaction.
For loading screens: Yes, they are going back to those, as it was mentioned in an old news bulletin, already showing a few screens, including this one.

So Epsilon is defending a location in Pakistan from the Fourth Side, I wonder if the ISI are helping Yuri.

Hmm I didn't even think about the possibility of the sub factions remaining and the 4th Faction just being a simple splinter of sorts but still I would love if the 4th faction was made up of the less well known countries in the red alert universe.

There's also the separation of story and game mechanics. Just because in the story, a subfaction became another, doesn't mean that gameplay-wise it also changed. I mean, gameplay-wise, China and the Pacific Front weren't supposed to be allies (nor they are in the story thanks to Singularity, but still).

I still don't know. I do see your point but what about the other parts of the globe or are they really just sub divided between the Allies, and Soviets with Epsilon technically being a G.I. Joe like villain and finally the 4th faction looking like G.I. Joe themselves, if they really are focusing on fighting Epsilon. I do believe that K.I. is involved but something still does not feel right about saying it just a splinter group of China and Pacific Front. Their is more and what they have shown us has the answer.

In the trailer, side 4 once fought against Chinese forces. Their color weren't brown, but purple, and scorpion cell became their ally.
Does it mean China being controlled by Yuri? And what about the other countries? Maybe the ending of ACT 2 is Yuri controlling the world? What if there is a Mental Omega Device in 3.0?

You are saying like Act Two is all about the Bad End. Huehuehue. It will be more interesting than that.

I do hope it will be a satisfying ending. And more than just the usual victory screen.

China vs Pacific Front, Round 1
It must be sad being Pacific... but, it's alright, because you are not Pacific in this mission!
Technically you are not China either......
