Could do with fixing the smoothing groups on those models, particularly on the guard's helm wings.

Honestly, this doesn't appeal to me as much. It might be just me, but I feel like this (unlike your others) is slightly cluttered.

If my, also gave me a feel, but my idea is a port, Arabicislam style, like medieval, full of markets, and style messy, moreover, Umbar is very particular, as had many sieges and has many cultures, it is difficult create that effect markets

Oh, fair enough, I see what you mean in terms of design now. Still looking for some in game shots, mind you.

I have to say I'm really diggin' these maps, buddy. I feel your pain, that I know you had, with all of those stairs.
You definitely achieved the 'feel' of the geographic area pretty well. Cluttered? Perhaps, but it's sometimes tough to balance the esthetic with the playability and still retain the visual. I remember the disheartened feeling I had after completing the Corinth city for the TPW mod. I was pretty happy with how it looked, ya know, visually. But then it hit me all of a sudden: "Oh crap, folks might want to play in the city....oops, pathing is gonna be a bear."
One of the things I like in the Umbar map here is the different areas all seem to have purpose - the market area, the dock, the grand entrance. Nice touch with the construction strewn all over. Keeping the different city sections easily identifiable can be difficult to do when you try to create large pathways and battle area within a city. It's easy for the city to end up looking like a random jumble of sprawl if you don't pay attention.
Good job!

While Umbar is growing on me, I don't feel like either of the others are up to your standards of detail. I presume they're WIP?

Omg... These maps... Can't beleive I haven't seen this topic before. They are truly awesome, all of them. Amongst the best intepretations of some of the most important lovations I've ever seen. The Helm's Deep is splendid - especially since I assume it's fully walkable/playable. And the ambience and detail of the post apocalypse Isengard... Great job!
Are all/some maps free to use in mods?

Ahhh Nazgul - NJM has already made Helm's Deep to a higher standard. =p

This is great stuff. I like the umbar port. I can actually pull a lot of ideas from what you've done. I can understand about the different layers the city has. Does make it interesting amd tough to pull off.

The NJM Minas Tirith was as legendary as it was lost in the hd crash, was it not? Also, I can't see MT pictured here?

This is probably not the place to be talking about it but if Sauron wants to contribute map/s to SEE-DC then we could probably make a list of maps that are needed (that we don't have on our list of in progress or maps to make in the future)?
On topic, I'm sorry Sauron. =p
Sauron, have you considered making an Easterling or Haradrim fortress map? =D
I remember Sindarin made a Khandish fortress/city map (it's in the BfME series Worldbuilder forum here, futher down - probably lost in the pages) but that was lost when he disappeared from existance. Your Umbar map reminded me of his Khandish map. Maybe you want to go deeper into the east of Middle-earth? =D

Should this excellent mapper want to join NJM's mapping team, I'd be thrilled. Having access to public maps alone is great. But just like you guys said, we should naturally focus on maps fitting for goblins and dwarves, as that is the focus on the first DC release =) Once again: awesome work DarkLord I just love the attention to detail

Ahem... there are a hand of mappers left here and all (-1) work for SEE ....
At for the matter at hand these look brilliant, tho a bit too crowded with objects for my taste.
