With Nazgul's permission he allowed me to use his complete idea for the SEE Wild Walls (wooden spiky walls) for the Dunedain Faction. He let me use the angles and the general code to help me in my endeavor to have walls for the Dunedain faction. :)

So, here are the new Dunedain Walls. Only upgrade at this point in time is an "create an opening" upgrade. In future i will make an arrow tower expansion.

That is the only update at this point in time. Hoping for some new content soon.

I really like them, they look very neat as it makes it look more like a encampment.

I'd replace the thicket parts with a single post and add a bib model so it looks like an actual palisade.

Yea. I was thinking of doing a floor model kind of thing just like in SEE as well. Always loved that idea. Maybe not an upgrade. Maybe just as an in general kind of thing.

As for the single post kind of thing.

My vision is for it to be basic fencing so i may take your "post" idea into account. Thank you for the idea.

For the opening i might make an actual gate kind of thing. Ideas on this?

Been 2 days since my last update and that's because of being on the road traveling from California back up to Seattle. I have some more work done but can't post pictures just yet! Partly because my bandwidth limit is being approached on photobucket. And because I am posting this from my iphone! Anyways the update is as follows:

Started the Dunedain Spellbook. Added in all the basic code for the spellbook and shall be completing he behaviors aspect soon.

Started the Rohan new abilities for units such as theoden and also recoded in ea's gamling hero.

Started balancing Rohan and Dunedain building costs as well as build times and upgrades for each building.

Slowly very slowly am redoing Aragorns Ranger skin. Looks good at the moment but still need to fix his face up before releasing an image to the public. Reason I am redoing is because of a weird asset renaming issue so I thought May as well redo the skin whilst I am at it.

After all of that I have also started trying to sketch out a design for a gate for the Dunedain walls. Also trying to figure a way out to use posts.

I have detoured a little bit and have gotten into the ring heroes for each faction:

Morder: Sauron

Isengard: Saruman

Wild: Balrog

Men: Isildur

Elves: Galadrial

Dwarves: Durin the Deathless

Dunedain: Debating

Rohan: Debating

Also,

side update completely separate from the ring heroes:

On snowy/icy maps you may see cold drakes wandering around! :) All done by map.ini. - by me. Maps main credit to Bofur and ea.

Legend tells us he meant to say "wandering".

I thought as much, but he rarely types what he means to say.

Nevertheless, I like the idea of wandering dragons, though I'm curious if they will attack units when crossing their way?

I think he means as lair units, though I could be wrong.

Imdrar i swear you always comment when i make a mistake. I try not to but half the time i am posting i am on an iPhone. :p Sometimes it autocorrects wrong and i then face the consequences. I did indeed mean "wandering". I will leave it at that because people will just have to play to find out but i will tell you its a "TYPE" of lair.

EDIT:

Why dont people actually comment on what i ment to say instead of just bashing on it. I usually re-read what i write. But in that case i happened not to.

If you look closer, you'll see that they also did comment on what you meant. However, you won't say anything about it so I don't see why you feel people are just bashing your grammar. I'm not going to play your mod because I'm curious about wandering drakes. Saying "I have a cool features, but you'll have to play to find out what it is!" isn't exactly my kind of marketing, but then again, I haven't ever made a popular mod.

I purposefully didnt say anything. That way people can "wonder" what will be coming. :p Its indeed a marketing ploy. If you just plain stated everything that was in a product just like that. Then people will just say oh its kinda bland. But if you make people wonder what is going to be there. It will make them want to play it.

Anyways thats my look on that little dealio :) I guess its really just opinion based when it comes to marketing for products. Haha

EDIT:

He could of commented on other things in this topic as well. Thats what i ment by the statement.

Lauri if you wanted to make a popular mod just leak a rumour about a nude patch for it. :p

Apollo,

you may forgive me my pedantry, it's a nasty habit I will hardly ever get rid of. Just see me as your auto-correct's corrective, even if I only care about the semantic errors of your posts.  :D It seems to work like a strange kind of summoning spell, and as long as I torture you, you will stay awake.  :p

Of course I could have commented your stuff earlier, but there are so many snippets, and where is the point in giving repetitive comments if other people already said what's worth to be said? Concerning all issues of modelling and skinning, I really can't contribute anything useful, and as for the mod's concept at all, I honestly don't have a clear opinion about it.

There is quality in what you show here, but the whole idea simply doesn't strike me down. This shall be no statement about it's originality or uniqueness, I just mean that it's rather not the kind of mod I would play. But maybe you'll surprise me in the end.

Good luck with your hosting request, nonetheless.  :good:

Haha, thanks Imdrar. I didn't mean to "shoot you down" I just men't: i like to see criticism and plus this topic hasn't been getting a lot of replies. That is the kind of post i like to see. Its honest, thoughtful, and gives me something to think about :) I will try and surprise some people but in today's day and age its difficult to come up with new ideas. Its also hard as is because i think T3A as a whole is getting a bit less populated, as in not as many people are coming around but maybe that's just me.

I have quite a few ideas still up my sleeve that will be implemented by beta 2. This idea isn't new but the only other mod i know of that's implemented it didn't do a hugely great job. E.G: Didn't fully comprehend certain aspects but if they had tried to work at it for say one month they would of figured it out. - I was able to figure it out whilst i was RPG mapping a while back. That is probably one of the bigger hints you can get. :p
