hi

what should I do when I'm connected to  ppp adapter ? when I try to play via this kind of connection , I can join rooms and I can host game but I cannot start any game because an error that I think is related to firewall. actually I want to switch between Ip adresses but it seems to be impossible :( (same problem with gameranger)

edit: problem was solved in game ranger

Yes, make sure it is the port you actually used to forward.

"To know what question we may reasonably propose is in itself a strong evidence of sagacity or intelligence. For if a question be in itself incongruous and begs for uncalled-for answers, it holds, sometimes, besides embarrassing the proposer, the disadvantage to seduce the unguarded listener into giving absurd answers, and we are presented with the ridiculous spectacle of one (as the ancients said) milking the he-goat, and the other holding a sieve beneath."

Probably because there's only 1 guy online. Our servers aren't very active yet because people don't want to leave GameRanger. This is a community effort, so tell your friends/spam people on GameRanger :p

Moved your post to the correct topic. Please read the OP and see if that works.

Because they're too lazy to learn how to use the server, mostly. So spread the word :p

You can check if there's people online by using the Status Checker here: http://t3aonline.net/ (click it for additional info)

Your internal (NAT) IP address.

If you don't know how to find it:

  1. Hit Windows+R keys.
  2. In the Run dialog type cmd.exe and then hit the Enter key.
  3. A command prompt will open. Type ipconfig and hit Enter.
  4. Look for IPv4 Address. The address looks something like 192.168.1.102.

In all External Port and Internal Port fields just enter 16000.

Then it's probably a router configuration problem. Have you checked the guide at portforward.com for your router model?

Are you able to play online? The portchecker fails for some people even when the port is open..

Did you edit your Options.ini file, as suggested in the first post?
