Well, you are supposed to use the same Ares which comes with MO, not another version, even if it´s a more recent one. Specially when playing online.

 

If a new Ares version is needed, it will comes automatically on every patch/update.

What happened? I was simply constructing a cool base on the map New Heights when it simply crashed to desktop. I was building a prism tower when it crashed. Much euphoria lost

Hi, my rig broke thanks to faulty PSU and then I got windows 8.1 and I have only 2gb of ram right now.

For whatever reason MO is quite unstable. Maybe every third game crashes randomly and everytime I run a second game the game crashes without exception. (during the loading)

That second bug is known - it got fixed in Ares 0.7. The first bug I'm not certain if a blitter is that.

I couldn't find a syringe.log file ,instead there was a syringe.txt file so i am assuming you meant syringe.txt file.

A file is missing or corrupted.

Did you install MO into your RA2/YR folder?
Do you have any other mods in that folder?
Did you remove any files?

If the answer is no and you have it in the correct folder, you might need to reinstall MO. Uninstall it and install again.

When a nuke detonates, or I destroy a Nuclear Reactor and also when the warhead of a Topol-M hits something, the game crashes to desktop.

As Yuri's Revenge seems to have a lot of issues with Intel cards, i wouldn't be surprised if would be the cause of your crashes.

Hey first time posting, just needed help with Mental Omega. Im so confused about my problem. I installed everything correctly and removed Wsock32.dll and everything that i have read ive done, it worked for a little while, but then when i closed it and started it up again it will go to a black screen like its going to load then it goes striaght to the desktop. The game is apparently still running but everytime i click on it, it loads the black screen and then back to the desktop. Theres no error message or anything just does what i said above.

 

Sorry for the long message but thats everything it does, and i dont know what to do.

Try running it windowed, if you didn't already.
Did you check if your anti-virus blocks it?
What operating system are you using?

I checked my anit-virus,

im running windows 7

and it looks like it works in windowed mode. Does that mean i cant play it in full screen?

Randomly crashes for no apparent reason. Happened in various skirmish matches and the 1st Soviet mission.

If you are using Windows 8, you might need to restart the game after each match, otherwise it will crash during loading.

If it's happening during games, you could also try changing gamemo.exe into gamemd.exe and then running through cncnet.exe file (when you do it, remember to click on Settings and in the argument line field change "gamemo.exe" -CD into "gamemd.exe" -CD, otherwise it won't run). Do not run through the MO launcher after that, unless you change gamemd.exe back to gamemo.exe.

Keep in mind though, this doesn't necessarily have to fix your problems, but it does help with stability on Windows 8 (not sure about Windows 7). Otherwise, most random crash issues should be fixed with the next update.

If it works windowed, play windowed. I can't really help more than this since i don't have Windows 7 myself, so i have no clue what can be the reason for this to happen.
