'Mental Omega has stopped working' issue. 

 

when i played mental omega today 2/13/2014. it crashes and mental omegas has stopped working. my map was bay of pigs 2-6, my faction was euro alliance with 2 random normal ai. after they rushed maybe 2 minutes i think. it crashes. this is the first time it happened to me.

 

i have:

reinstalled it.

downloaded the mental omega installer again and install it.

i reinstalled red alert 2(cd version 1.000 i think) and cnc yuri's revenge(downloaded in the internet. version 1.001)

removed wsock32.dll

put syringe.exe in the exceptions of avg free.

additionally, the first that i have saw this error when i was playing allied 12 sunlight mission.yesterday.. after seeing the error, i closed the launcher and shut down my computer. then when i was gonna play today. the error showed up again and again. so i ended up posting this topic. :(

Everytime I try to open MO this appears and not the launcher...
Yuri's Revenge works fine though !

GAB, this issue is caused by FRAPS. As in showing FRAPS's fps counter messes up YR's graphic settings.

Do I turn it off?

Or, does redownloading it help?

Oh wait... I mixed these two on the other day. Syringe isn't MOLauncher anymore... check out if .NET 3 is working. 3.0 and 3.5 are tzhe same in this regard.

haha.. i didnt receive an error when i open mental omega without the fraps.. too bad i cant record my games because fraps is my only registered recorder.. bandicam only records the part where the actions happen, the recorder doesnt record the armory tabs in the right..

can you suggest any on-screen recorders for me.? fraps doesnt work, cuz it crashes the game. and my bandicam is unregistered and i am poor to afford a registered version. any suggestions.?

Disable FRAPS's on-screen FPS counter. AFAIK that fixes it.

Which sounds suspicious on my end, regarding some kind of leftover asset or such.

CRASH-TO-DESKTOP Event

 

During skirmish game 1v1 I played PF and Easy AI US, when I scroll the map with cursor, it crashed to desktop.

looool. I usually get that message when I open 20 tabs on Chrome with Photoshop running behind. On 2 GB RAM, Win7 x86.

 

Doubt we can do much with that, since the game doesn't really use 1 GB RAM at all. You sure you don't have something else running as a resource hog?
