Got a message of "Main executable for Mental Omega has stopped working" while playing the first campaign of soviet. The timing of CTD is random.

 

Using WIn7 64bit system. Both happen in windowed mode and full screen with 1920X1080 and  1600X900 screen resolution.

9/7 edit: After turning off both FRAPS and AMD game evolved, the problem no longer exist. Hopes the information help.

i have problem with my memtal omega crush to desktop '"Main executable for Mental Omega has stopped working'

and if there is way to save game pleas inform me

Unless it always happens, it's most likely one of those random crashes we can't do anything about atm.

9/7 edit: After turning off both FRAPS and AMD game evolved, the problem no longer exist. Hopes the information help.

FRAPS framerate indicator is supposed to cause troubles with YR, so don't use it with MO either (although i'm not sure if it will still cause troubles when the counter is turned off).

Random crash during 1v1 China vs China.

 

Was walking with the centurion when that happened.

When I finish a mission/skirmish and I try to play another one, the game crashes and quits. Does somebody knows how to repair this?

I installed MO 3.0 on Origin version of Yuri´s Revenge, if sb asks.

I assume you have Windows 8.1 - and win8.1 is causing the issue. This will be fixed in new version.

On Windows 8, you have to quit the game after each mission/game, otherwise it will crash.

You either installed MO in the wrong directory, or there's another mod in that folder that conflicts with MO's files.

MO files should be installed exactly where RA2/YR is installed, and definitely not in a subfolder or anything like that. So check if the launcher is in the proper place.

I was playing a skirmish with 5 bots on bay of pigs2 and it randomly crashed.

My mental omega used to work fine before the cnc net server went down. After that when ever I try to go on mental omega, it wont even launch properly, the game comes up and then instantly crashes and says " the main executable for mental omega has stopped working". Every time I try to re-launch, the same message comes up. I have not downloaded any files from when it did work to now.

Fixed it, changed the resolution back on cnc net to defult

It's never worked before. 

 

I have Windows 10. I've heard that on Windows 10 it might not work.

 

I have CNCnet installed and every time a wsock32.dll message shows I can see it running in the Task Manager.

MO uses an old version of CnCNet, and it doesn't work on Win10. You can only play through Play MO button, and if you even try running Play on CnCNet, then MO will stop working altogether (until you remove the wsock32.dll that's in MO folder).

Whenever I'm in the middle of a game, a pop up comes up saying there's a problem with the Main Executable for Mental Omega. This causes the game to crash.
