Where can I get .net 3.0?

I just made an account for this today. The mod refuses to run for me in fullscreen. I cant launch regular mental omega. only the CnC.net one. and when i do i can only play in windowed mode.

When i try to launch either normally they give me a black screen where i can here the little selection bars but cant see anything. please help. I love this mod man but this is really frustrating.

What windows do you have? The mod doesn't properly support Win8 and Win10 just yet.

I have windows 7 is the thing. And ive had the mod on this computer for about 6 months and played it off and on. It wasnt until today it started doing this. Earlier it worked for a match and then when i tried to open it again tonight it did the same thing.

Do you have an nVidia gfx card and did you update the drivers recently?

Where can I get .net 3.0?

From Microsoft website. and you can use google if you don't know where to get it from.

No i just have the factory graphics card my computer came with.
Plus i havent updated any drivers lately.

so my problem is that whenever I try to start up the game it will run in the background I can see it in my task manager but I won't be able to play it. it's just in the background running. 

 

this problem occured when I deleted the wsock32.dll file from the game because I couldn't play online because of that file 

my computer runs on windows 10 so that could be part of the reason

 

EDIT: tried reïnstalling the mod but that didn't fix the problem.

Windows 10 is indeed not yet supported by the mod correctly. The next version might fix that.

First of all my compliments to this forums. I think it is admirble how well and patiently people are/were being helped.

I myself have had many issues and with this forum tried A lot of solutions. I have been trying to get it to work for about a week now with every day 4/6 hours trying.

I have the single player working. Now trying to find a fail safe way to make it work on A vanilla ra2/te install. And if i get it to work maybe i will write A step by step tutorial.

I am on A Windows 10 and still trying to find a way to make the multiplayer work. I red something about the multiplayer lobby not supporting Windows 10 can A developer confirmor this. If so is there absolutly no workaround?

As far as i know, CNCnet4 will not work on win 10. However CNCnet5 works without problems - Win 10 users will have to satisfy themselves with single player/campaign :/

i just installed mental omega and it keeps saying "the application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). click ok to close the application". i have reinstalled Yuri's revenge 4 times now and it still says that.

My only question is, is there a way to increase the resolution of the screen on the menu? It's setup in 4:3 and 800X600 and mess up my desktop everytime :(

 

also, It would be nice to say that through origin, we need to deactivate automatic update because that messed up all the file...

Menu is fixed at that resolution and that can't be changed. Only the actual game is affected by resolution settings.
If it bothers you, you can always play in windowed mode.

Quick Question: Where is the bordered option for windowed mode?

I've been playing on windowed mode to bypass the black menu screen but it's borderless and I keep accidentally clicking outside the window. Is there an option or do I just have to deal with it?

As for now, only if you set it up via Hamachi, or play it on Tunngle or XWIS. But the CnCNet version that MO uses doesn't work.

It should have a border, unless you're using a modified exe that's not from the original installation, or for some reason Windows system disabled the border. What Windows are you using?

I'm having the exact same problem as well. To make things worse, I've just recently cleaned my desktop and installed Windows 7 too. And the same thing happens to the base game RA2+YR as well.

 

The game version I'm using is The First Decade, a clean install (no other mods at all yet), I've resolved the missing MSVCR100.dll issue as directed by the OP, removed the wsock32.dll as well, set EVERYTHING labeled as an 'application' (.exe) to run compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 3) and Run as Administrator.

 

That's everything of note, I think... but it still doesn't work. I've been unable to run this game for months.

I have MSCVR100.dll on my mental omega directory with red alert 2 but i still have syringe.exe crashes about the dll not being on my pc.

And maybe pay attention to FIRST post in this thread which does actually contain solution of problem. I know it might be too hard to search but ffs you are triggering me so much right now with your lack of thinking ability.

 

Another thing - You do not download single DLLs and put them in game directory in order to make game work unless you are a complete idiot.
