To ensure everything is working as intended i do not recommend updating Ares. Not that it will not allow you to play with other players with different version of it.

please help me, I have a windows 10 pc and i installed mental omega in my red alert file but when i click on "launch mental omega" yuri's revenge pops up not mental omega.

Hi, i downloaded Mental Omega 3.0 from mddb and installed in on a very recent reinstallation of RA2, and it seems to work (the game is playable, even though it seems to crash easily) but when I launch the launcher it says automatically that it couldn't reach the servers to update Mental Omega. What could be the problem ?

I have Windows 7.

There are no updates so far. Uncheck the box in launcher or simply ignore the message.

You mean that there was no update since the one in 2013 (which is downloadable on moddb, according to what I understand) ? Even though there was a lots of news and video since then ? If that's the case I don't understand how the development of this mod works, how it could be still under development and have no patchs in three years. The video showing the fourth faction seems old and yet that faction is not downloadable. How come ?

Foehn is still not completed. It might take time for it to be released, so for now people have to stick with BR1. Remember that Mentalmeisters are limited in numbers and are making progress on this mod in their free time. Hopefullly soon new version will be released.

When I try to run MO I get this error: string manager failed to initilaized properly

I set al .exe files to run as admin and winxp compatibilty and I tried the disable UAC trick but still no luck.

 

Any help?

Set syringe.exe, gamemo.exe and the MO launcher to run as admin. Maybe just gamemo is enough.

Hey, I hope I am not too late;
Whenever I try to opne MO 3.0 launcher, it doesn't load/open, just a black screen for about 3 seconds, and then it goes back to my home page of my computer. No error message appear. Thanks for helping me.

What system are you using?
Is MO installed into the same folder as RA2/YR (and did you install YR)?

Do you have .NET 3.0 and 3.5 installed? And what system are you using?

Help,i download a english version RA2 and YR, and install mode,i press in launcher,*Launch Mental Omega* nothing happened and we are error *Error to launch this app, 0x0000142

Hey. I have copied the binkw32 from the Red Alert 2 file from Origin to Mental Omega file and had to reinstall the gamemd.exe and set the compatibility to WIndow 7 since I am using window 10 computer... And I tried running the game by clicking on launch Mental Omega and it did not seem to launch or run, no errors or something. Is there something that I can fix?

You are supposed to install Mental Omega in RA2YR directory, not copy files from RA2YR there.

Okay... Just redownloaded and reinstalled. then launched the game, but unfortunately after launching the game the screen remained black blank. Any idea what is the issue?

Just blank screen after launching the game, only a mouse pointer on the screen, nothing else.

On second thought. I just dumped all RA2 and YR and Mental Omega from my computer because I believe it was a mess so it won't work. So I reinstalled RA2 and YR from Origin and tested it and it worked then I redownloaded Mental Omega and tested it and it worked!
