I only hope the Foehn Commandoes don't hold a tsundere who is also insanely violent and strong.... Yunru already conked me once with her exosuit....

Now that I think of it, replacing 'countering' with 'tsun-tsun', among other things, will provide a great re-read of the forum.

Considering that you guys have that "Fire-Storm" thing now, how about adding a game mode where the maps are divided by one for a period of time?

You'd all have your time to prepare. I understand that it might be boring to some, but noob players who don't like getting rushed would love it.

If China gets better Desolators, and Psi Corps gets better Psychics, then I think that EA should get better Chrono Legionnaires.

They could spawn in faster from a teleport, erase stuff quicker, and maybe even have more health.

Of course, they'd be more expensive though.

1 Well that would be noob friendly certainly, but they'd never learn how to prevent a rush.

2.... OH HELL NO, no amount of cost increase would make up for that. Quicker erasure and chrono warp time would result in some nasty business.

Okay, so this more of a cosmetic/flavour ideas that are not necessary but nice additions that could be done after most of the development. so is it possible to give the Soviet's subfactions different voices for the G.I's and Conscripts? i think China and Confederation would benefit from that the most since their accents would be alot different.

 

Another would it be possible to make "indestructible" tech buildings setting? like they can be destroyed (building "husk" would still be there) and and no longer give benefits nor can they be repaired with the wrench icon. but an engineer can repair them by capturing them again. either your or your enemies. becomes less of "scorched earth" and more like a "tug of war"

Not worth the effort of making duplicates of every basic infantry for what little gain. It can be done but it's alot of extra work for little aesthetic you achieve from it.

 

It is possible in the new Ares Builds. Tech Buildings can also be made to return Neutral when a player owning it is defeated and there are plans for a Game Mode revolving around hoarding Oil Derricks.

Hahahah call the game mode Grease Wars... It'd be hilarious.

EDIT: Also yeah, I tend to agree... It'd be nice but soo not worth putting off the more important stuff.

Gamemode is called Petrowar. It was already announced in one of previous bulletins, only thing was that AI didnt really work well on this one. Speeder adjusted that already afaik.

Dude those Irkalla(s) need better scripting... they seriously useless in the hand of AI in skirmish >...> maybe make them immediately target enemy AI aircraft if any start attacking their structures?

They're not even auto-attacking on enemies in their attacking range....

Also maybe make AI cancel any queue on infantry other than basic anti-armor/anti-air (GGI, archer) and send them to target the aircraft attacking their structures? Maybe like 5~8 infantries and add 2 more if one got killed?

Otherwise it just seems too stupid for a supposedly MENTAL AI ._. it just seems like they're mental on the offense but derping on defense...

I'm unaware of limitations, but there should be veteran unit production for naval units and jets; maybe for the former, don't necessarily have to make spies able to swim but could maybe make it so amphibious transports can drop a spy into the enemy naval yard when targeted when a spy is inside, or even make some amphibious boarding unit (a small, maybe fast boat that can carry infantry only, up to 3) that would function for this and maybe even the ability to capture shipyards. For jets, infiltrate war factory + enemy airfield, or just the latter

 

Also, maybe a range increase (possibly to match Gun turret's) for the Gatling cannon's ground weapon, since it requires power and is a little more costly than pillboxes/sentry guns?

Kinda like that "Oilwar" gamemode. but also for regular skirmish maps and that it applies to all tech structures the machine shops, hospitals, airfields ect. if that is possible as a tick box option or something.

 

So a while ago i suggested a "formation" mode. i recently found out you can use the guard hotkey on a unit and it would work similarly. (use on slowest unit in group such as Nuwa tank). kinda wish it was made more apparent lol.

 

Also you said many of the old tech lab infantry are scrapped for new vehicles, but some like the suppressor is returning, i really like the Cyborg and it would be a shame if he had to go. really he's the coolest looking infantry unit with that Chinese farmer hat and cape  :cool:  (make em' like a support power activated paratrooper for China? or even spawn from the Atomheart like the new Drakuv does from the Field Bureau  :D )

They'll probably still be in the Game Code Wise. The Revised Stolen Tech Roster isn't complete yet so who knows since we've seen its not all entirely composed of just Units produced from the War Factory in the case of the Lionheart.

I've played with this a lot 2-3 years ago up til a year ago when I left YR modding for good.

The main issue with this is that while technically this is possible via the Ares trench logic, rebuilding and capturing will look odd, because they cannot be merged into a single action within YR. If you keep the building husk owned, then it would prevent the allies rebuilding it and also would look really odd on the radar. If you switch the ownership to neutral, then every engineer would be needed to sending twice into it manually - first they would enter, rebuild the husk to a structure then pop up and then you can command them to capture the newly rebuilt one. You can't queue this due to the rebuilding action either.

Petrowar worked around this limitation via scripting all maps to spawn a neutral derrick immediately a derrick dies but that's not an option to all maps.

And neither solution can be rigged to checkboxes either.
