The reason for the wait is so they can release a solid mod without any glaring issues. They could have thrown a download button at us once they added all the new units in, but what's the point if it isn't balanced? Let's just say there's a reason why it's called "Almost Perfect Yuri's Revenge"

On the other hand, the practice shows it is never possible to release a version of a mod without bugs or oversights, especially if the amount of additions is big and the amount of those who test the thing before release is rather small. So I'm absolutely sure some things to patch will be found sooner or later, no matter how long the remaining testing will take. This doesn't mean I'd prefer a completely untested product though, but the sooner the large-scale testing will begin, the better. Recent releases of TI or ROTR are good examples of that (though frequent updates of TI also bring new graphical content and engine fixes which weren't possible before).

But in any case: I do believe the release will actually happen in 2016, so even in worst case we'll have to wait just 3 weeks, which is a very small period compared to 3 years. I do hope it will happen earlier however.

i'm sure we are gonna get it this year if not like two weeks after, i mean speeder would of likely said something if it had to wait into next year.

I don't think such a major release will happen without a trailer and a bunch of teasers days before the trailer. But I'm also sure MO will make it into the Top 100, and releasing it when the second phase of competition will begin makes sense, because people will know what they are voting for, and they will gladly give their votes for the so much anticipated game they've finally got. Damn, MO got 2 third places last year without even being released, now think what can happen when people will get something much better than just screenshots and videos.

I hope I haven't accidentally predicted The Plan™ so the devs will now change it because it has been compromised and isn't a surprise anymore xD
