Hi all. I recently downloaded this Mod after moving on from Twisted Insurrenction. I purchased a digital copy of The Ultimate Collection through Amazon and installed RA2/YR through Origin, which I read is already patched to the correct version of YR. I copied the required files from the RA2 folder to a MO folder, and extracted the MO zip into the same folder. Long story short, I feel like I've completed the download and isntall procedures correctly.
I have two issues related to gameplay/system performance in-game.
1. At home I have a desktop I built this summer. It has a 3.5GHz i5, 16GB of RAM, a 4GB GTX 980, and an 850 Pro SSD, and I've had no issues playing any other games on it. For example, I run CS GO on max settings at 200FPS.
This computer has issues running Mental Omega. I switched from High to Low detail, and changed from a full-screen view to a smaller windowed mode. The game seems to run fine if I don't move the mouse, but as soon as I scroll in any direction it slows down considerably.
2. I gave my Surface Pro 4 to my brother last year after I bought a new one. It has a 2.4GHz i5, 4GB of RAM, and an Intel HD 520 chip with approximately 1GB RAM. This laptop experiences the same performance issue as my desktop (drop in performance when moving the mouse), except the effect is even more pronounced. Also the game seems to run a tad slower altogether.
I read in the FAQ that the min. requirements for MO are "more than what is required for RA2". How much more are we talking? When I google RA2 sys. requirements I see a 266MHz Pentium, 64MB RAM, and 2MB VRAM. I would consider my SP4 to be "considerably better" than those requirements, and I assume it should be able to run MO on minimum settings. I should also mention, this laptop ran the Twisted Insurrection mod flawlessly (which, granted, runs off the Tiberian Sun engine, not the RA2 engine). We played that mod online together without issue, but it took us like 4 hours to finish the only game we've played on MO because anytime either of us moved our mouse it significantly dropped the speed of the game.
What is causing these issues and how can I fix them.

the problem is not the requirements , it's the game itself that is outdated by today's operating systems.
I used to have that mouse moving problem as well though, what I did :
1- opened the compatibility of both the gamemd.exe (the one with the yuri logo) and the syringe.exe and put those 2 on (service pack 2 for windows xp) and run as admin.
2- in the options menu : run the game in full screen,but not in borderless window (because that was the main reason of the issue for me) and use the TS_DDRW renderer

You are a genius. Just tried this on the SP4 and everything works fine when scrolling. I had everything set to run as admin, but hadn't thought to change compatability settings. I also had no clue what the rendering settings did. Thanks!

Hey! At the end of the game worked fine! Thanks to bid for the 16-bit but I chose the 8-bit compatibility setting then the game worked! Thank you very much! Now there is a little problem ...!Problem: I played this game for over an hour or so ... then came me to keep this game but I can not keep it! I could not keep it properly ....What to do? Just installed the new version.Client works good.Game is excellent.Though, the game freeezes(campaign and skirmish alike)whenever i press ESC.I have windows 10 46

game crash : I was playing on allied mission "bottleneck" , and my chrono soldiers attacked an epsilon elite as he mind controlled one of them then got released immediatly after, then the chrono that got mind controlled turned grey for 2 seconds (became neutral ?) then the game crashed.
P.S : THAT MISSION IS SO HARD WITHOUT SAVES ;-;

Running the game multiplayer, skirmish or whatever, i get this
I can run the CnCnet launcher etc, but as soon as i click "Launch Game" I get this.

There is some problem in the map (4) Moonlit Bay in Capture mode. There was a flag that should be 2nd players, but it's other player's.

Hi guys i have an issue. Everything works for my client the only thing that does not are the mission etc. messages. i am getting notifications in the top left corner which say missing txt... Did anyone encounter this problem yet? I have the german Origin Version of the original game + expansion

I tried to launch skirmish or campaign, but it don't launch instead of not leaving any message error. I tried to reboot and reinstall it again, but it won't do any positive reaction.
What happened to my game?
Is that happens when I activate older MO version or original Yuri's Revenge?
Because first time I activate Yuri's revenge after I discovered my MO Client won't launch game, I opened Yuri's revenge:
'Please insert Yuri's Revenge CD'
