I'm signing in to ask if anyone has written guides to this game.  Not just the video walkthroughs; actual text-based guides.  I watched the walkthrough video for "Think Different", and tried to imitate it, but I still haven't been able to beat that stinker.  Possibly, that could be to do with the video walkthrough being made with an earlier version of the mod, and it being rebalanced since.

For the present, I'll take any advice anyone has here on conquering this.

Think Different? IIRC all you need is a spam of desolators, with pyros for defenses and a few flak guys to deal with rocketeers and occasional robot tanks.

You can find guides on the challenges on the wiki. But I'd really like some for campaigns too.

Note: China uses the Eradicator, so it leaks radiation and can damage friendlies.  How much that detracts from using it isn't clear, but it pretty obviously rules out deploying the units, and in that case, what can the Eradicator's weapon do that the Pyro's can't do well enough?  Why use what is just an anti-infantry weapon that also harms my other units, when I make one that damages both infantry and buildings and doesn't hurt its allies?  At any rate, I tried the spamming, both with and without Eradicators and it didn't work too well.  You're going to need to explain a bit better how this is supposed to work.

Something else: In this mission there is a note that destroying some non-defensive structures might make the PF surrender.  But which structures are those?  I'm wondering if that's the key to this mission, since without negating large portions of the enemy, there doesn't seem to be enough time to complete it.

It's all Non-Defensive structures. Basically, anything in the first tab of the context menu (Power Plant, Barracks, Airfield, Battle Lab, etc). Destroying all of those will cause the Pacific Front to surrender.

Hmm, I've been watching videos of this mission to get ideas, and apparently there used to be Adepts in it. Why were they removed? It doesn't seem right to have an Epdilon mission without any actual Epdilon units.

Because the Chinese are not supposed to find out there is Epsilon activity in that area.

Erad's radiation "aura" does not damage friendlies but hurts disguised spies.

Just like for vanilla Iraq, the rad beam weapon is very effective against infantry and vehicles alike (barring some rad-immune units such as Tsurugis and Robot Tanks). While the Pyros are only effective against buildings and infantry.

Take this:

               Infantry       Vehicles      Aircrafts      Buildings

Erad         +++                ++             N/A               N/A

Pyro          ++                   -              N/A               +++

Flak            -                    +                +                   +

Also, Eradicators can be regarded as Soviet snipers. Now they don't outrange any sniper units, far from it, but their range is enough to send Tanya packing.

Desolator/Eradicator deploy isn't all that good against AI anyways. You're better off taking them out from a safe distance one by one.

MO doesn't have slave miner at all. If you try placing the 'slave miner' in editor, it would turn out to be a subterranean mobile ore refinery

And when the time comes, the devs only need to add a Enslaved=RHADSLAV to make it a real one.

I like how one half of the base is allied tech, and the other half is soviet tech. Maybe a coop mission?

If that's so, I bet there's a fair chance some player duos will argue on who gets to call dibs on playing China side 'cuz L33T Yunru

Doubt it

1. The color palette looks custom

2. The two bases have same color

I'm just happy to see that (Player) Foehn finally have use of the Heavy Trooper/Knightframe in campaign.

Given the arctic environment, could this be the Bering Strait and the beginnings of the Last Bastion?

Well, that was the direction Yunru was heading to after Tainted Empire. And we seem to have China/PF probably almost full arsenal, Heavy Troopers, Gharials, Future Tanks... Boy I see massive offensives to weather in the future. I'm also curious to know if this map will use a shape similar to the RA2 final Soviet mission...

The base looks kind of weak to be honest, assuming this is located in Alaska, the last bastion of Foehn. Compare it to the base in Thread of Dread, with 30+ hammer deffenses. Who knows though, we're not seeing everything.

Considering the absolute lack of barrels, this base is not yours (to control at least)
