You're a wishing well of info, aren't you? :)

Anyway, I can't script for beans with Generals. I can script with a few other games, but not Generals. The other games are just using code and snippets here and there, though.

I had an interesting idea today..... all sides could get a Forward Base, with unique capabilities for each. All would be able to repair vehicles and be camoflauged, and be able to garrison infantry.

The USA side would have a VTOL base for the Marine Corps variant of the F-35.

The others would get otherstuff.

Sounds good to me.

USAF: Holds 4 JSFs. Can build choppers.

Laser: Makes Laser Commanches and maybe Laser Harriers.

Superweapon: IDK if she should get one because she's all about attacking from long range.

I do not think the Forward Base should build anything. It should be able to house the VTOLs, and repair helicopters and vehicles, and garrison infantry. Each American side would be identical, except for the aircraft capabilities. The idea is to build something that would be fought over away from your base, and this would give added strategy to the game - maintaining a supply line.

USA
Laser General
- F-35s have lasers

Superweapon General
- F-35s have rocket pods in addition to missiles and gun, giving it longer loiter time

Airforce General
- F-35s enjoy stealthiness, and all the upgrades the F-22 has (as they are closely related). More effective anti-tank weapons

China
Can garrison more people than the US Forward Base can, but can not repair helicopters and has no CAS. Garrisoned infantry allows 105mm howitzers to fire.

Tank general
- 105mm howitzer changed to 125mm antitank gun

Flame General
- Napalm shells for howitzers

Nuclear General
- Same gun as the nuclear artillery (note - damage would cause infantry to become affected with radiation)

GLA
Can garrison more than China, but since I've never played as the GLA I really can not say what would suit them. Logically, I would say that they just store a lot of people because the GLA is low-tech. Perhaps this forward base could build and alter technicals.

(Bump)

Crazy Psyco Idea for the mod.

A GLA LAV-25.

Found this one in my mail box this morning.

Dang nab-it. If the saudys have it now, you can expect a cloned version in the middle east sooner or later. And remember, this game supposedly takes place in 2015, so it's feasible that it could happen by then.

PS I wouldn't wouldn't mind if this were put in one of the USA sides, instead of a GLA side. I think it would be a great idea as well. :ninja:

Bob: I like.

Forgot what it was called, but I finally got to an Air Force museum. They had basically a cross between a humvee and a tank. It had six wheels (four rear, two front, not all evenly spaced) and was fairly small with tough armor. It was designed for recon. Probably faster than the Bradley. Never put into production, but it might make a good USA vehicle.

Were you at the Air Force Museum in Dayton, OH. I just took a trip to there last fall, and I think I saw what you're talking about. I saw a small 6 wheeler APC there as well. I think it was brownish in color, if my memory serves me correctly. They had it way toward the back of the building (don't remember what building number), near one of the older WWII era aircraft. I think it was in the same building as the B-52 bomber that they had up on a set of concrete stilts. Boy that was a site to see.

Crazy idea. How about a Recon Vehicle for the GLA sides?

Engesa EE-9 Cascavel [Rattlesnake]
Armored Reconnaissance Vehicle

'The Engesa EE-9 [Rattlesnake] Armored Reconnaissance Vehicle provides mechanized forces on the modern battlefield a vehicle designed for speed and maneuverability on paved roads and operations in the field with a high degree of maneuverability and power. The EE-9 Cascavel was sold by Engesa to Iraq, Libya, Qatar, Iran, Peru, Ecuador and other countries. It was used extensively in the Iran/Iraq W and the Gulf War.'
