In my opinion apart from keeping spies and engineers at bay walls have no use and gates have even less use so why bother with them - also laser fence could be shot through i think so it was a pretty lousy "wall"

I think that he is talking about the GDI fleet (isn't finished yet)

hey all,I'm new here.Must say l love your mod,and think you have done a great job :lol:,love the A.I as well (alot better) .But lm am here too report a bug (didnt see it in the FAQ).And lm new so l dont realy know if its been sead.when l place a beacon l get an *internal error*,and says that it will now close YR :p .It has happend to my freind as well,so l realy think that its a bug.

Hope too see improvements in the future ^_^ .

Hey guys\girls whats going on long time since I've been here. The GDI fleet still not done. oh well. dont know to the question above. and can really play ra2 anymore cause it laggs when i update it lol sound problem. but im a bf2, hl2, cod2 and q4 player now just droped in to say hi

about the gates, in the map editor(while the mod is active) at the bottom of either the allied and soviet buildings screen, theres 2 types of gates(RA2 version) one facing each direction, so i cant imagine allowing teams to build them would be so hard...

In Tiberian Sun existed 2 build icon gates (Gate_A and Gate_B) for GDI & Nod.

Can you see how works the gates in other mods (now I can't remember examples :p )

Only I AI should not be able to build those buildings... when you talked abuout "teams" is about AI?

many of your bugs in this mod can be fixed with rockpatch, or this mod is dead?

yo peeps i finally decided to stop being a lazy ass and actually make an account for RevoraForums and i wanted to point out that robotstorm uses TS style gates for nexus side and they're fully operational. the reason why you'd want gates is just cause they're fun to use in my mind and ive seen in some instances that enemies set to brutal will use spys quite often and it just pisses me off, although a few changes that could be made to gates is just make em stronger alot stronger because they look like some sort of steel but they're really just painted cardboard :) i never found out why people used laser fence walls tho so as far as i care, well i dont care if u put em in the mod.
I have returned to Revora Forums after half a year of absence. I have changed a lot since then.

if i recall laser fences were a lot stronger than any other walls,and were cloakable, i dont know perhaps FS could put them at radar level and allow long spacing inbetween?

Nod Laser fence wall in RA2 has bugs or directly not works, now I can't remember if the reason was the 1º reason or the 2º... :blink:

if it isn't in the mod its lightly because

a. doesn't work cos of ra2/yr engine

b. graphical issues (that was the gate issue) and also how you can't place them over existing walls (like you could in original)
