way over due for getting back on topic. No more bitching about what Contra tank is best. This is the Remix3 topic, there is no rank system and threre are several tanks in Remix3 that can whup an Emperor's butt.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

Just wondering (This probably is already different)
If the infantry is "Cheap and Fast" does that mean that
the support troopcrawlers won't be able to keep up with them?
Also I think every side (Well at least one for each country)
should have a wheeled tank.

they're not "movment fast", they build fast. And the cost of troop crawlers that come with infantry have been duely adjusted.

Also I think every side (Well at least one for each country)
should have a wheeled tank.

I would say instead that each general needs somerthiong special and unique. Some generals that means a change in the basic vehicles, for others it means a whole new class of vehicle.

For example, Robit gen eral has walking robot units and a custom factory for them. Tank general has a Super heavy tank class far heavier than the emperor even. And Infantry general has elete infantry in adition to standard infantry.

every has one ot two somethings special. Maby a weapon type, or a unit type... Making those differences more distinct is what both Contra and Remix are all about.

Is the robot gens War factory tall enough for the fanfir to walk out of?
Cause I seem to remember a fanfir sticking out of my war factory as he walked out.

Yes, the Mech factory fits ALL the mech units, including the spider units, with ease.

more like 60%.

You have to remmember that even though its been a year in the making, I'm only one man, and I get worn out. I've had to take modding breaks of up to a month or two at times. when I get Infa china done and release the 1st birthday alpha It should be around 75%. (atleast 25% of the total is not faction specific, and 2/3rds of the factions will be done... = 75%)

A shot of the mech factory closed and open, as u can see it lifts out of the ground and the doors open mech walks out. Think of it like a elevator to an underground hanger.


O and pend just a thought Beings airforce gens main defence is his infantry and firebase why not change the fire base to the cyber generals firebase and give cyber gen the standard one?
The cyber gens firebase is like a bunker and would provide more protection for the Airforce gens troops.
Make the bunker section sniper proff like the china bunkers but let dragon tanks and toxin tractors and flashbangs and such kill or make the troops exit the firebase.

And i only just downloaded the remix aplha again since i had to format and i noticed something the cyber gens mechs can be shot out with jarm kell and that should not happen right i mean there is no pilot. And the cyber rangers once u get teh flash bang upgrade does not have that opsion.
Is it just my download is messed up because i sure they worked fine before my computer fubar'd

i have an idea for the gla. i think the assult general should get a tank called Leman tank ( change name if you want) it is a heavy tank, with a 210mm cannon on it so it packs punch. it is armour piercing sdo it kills most basic armourd tanks in 1 hit. it has a relod time of 5-6 seconds. the shells can be upgraded to HE shells so they have a splash damage to things around them. it can be upgraded with a small stinger site, or a small machine gun post or a small turret. it could be a super unit for the assult general. it weaknesses are that its main gun is fixed forward, so the whole tank has to turn to fire. and it cant engage units on the move if them pass. it has to stop and turn to face them. it has good- average armour.
if this sounds imba, you could change what you wanted to change.

that idea sound like the super unit for the stealth gen alsmot as that has a massive fixed gun. I like the idea tho, maybe make it have 6 tracks in a formation of this Tracks_layout..jpg

And put the big fixed gun ontop it would be like a sniper cannon and have long reload time, above the 2 outta tracks could be a 25mm cannon and a light Machine gun all guns are fixed and so the tank has to face its target and can't fire on the move as said before.

Maybe give it the possablity of a chooise of 2 upgrades it can get ontop like a overlord, maybe a transport bay for infantry, or a short range stinger missile lancher or whatever u might wanna add.
HE rounds idea is cool but if its gonna kill a tank in 1 hit i think it should not have AoE, but if it wont kill a tank with one hit then i think the HE idea is fine. (i mean the heavy tanks scopions and battlemasters kill in 1 hit aint too bad, just aslong as the heavy tanks don't die with one hit)
I think its main gun should be the same power range and possable same reload time maybe less or more fo teh tank gens sniper cannon imo tho.

Anyways this being said i just thought maybe add a butten on the stealth gens super unit to fire 2 small smoke grenades out or let it produce smoke from its engin to make a smoke screen to help it escape, nades would ont be able to be fired once every min so u can't spam it, but it any shots coming at it while teh smoke is around it would be like 25% less accurate

the units that have smoke around them cant attack and the units not in smoke could not attack units in the smoke
the gla tank u suggested sounds like the 1 already in the game with missiles and toxin and all that

No the gla tank in game already has only 2 tracks and it has meny weapons and a turret not a fixed gun

No the gla tank in game already has only 2 tracks and it has meny weapons and a turret not a fixed gun

so r u going 2 keep both units or only 1

Well, After finishing Metal Gear solid 3.. again...
I still think that the Shagohad is a good Idea for nuke gen.
(Even though that thing is almost unbeatable but that could be changed)

have any 1 played RA1(the game with the biggest unbalance since AI doesnt build navy so US battle cruiser owns all) or RA2 cause if u did u know all soviet heavy tanks have AA missiles so y dont we give the overlord aa missiles too.

Because china is not the soviets more to the point tho why build aa if u can build a tank that is good vs tanks and air?
Hope this give u a reason why we don't add that, if we make all units have AA then we would not need AA units.
Besides have u forgot the overlord can have Gattling gun upgrade = AA and not bad in groups.
Or bunker upgrade with some rocket men in.

O and if your talking about mgs3 then i think there is one unit from it that would pawn, if you played it u should know what i talking about but in the base near the end there is tanks sitting in rows outside and they have that sort of shild panelthing at the front :p
