*No offense directed, one of these mods actually shows some potential if the mod leader can get enough support (TPA)

The difference between a n00b and a newb, is that a newb shows respect to the community and it's members, allows that perhaps he doesn't know it all already, and doesn't mind at least trying to learn what he doesn't know yet, in order to truely join the community and make the mod he wishes to make.
To make your own mod you don't have to be (closely) befriend with other community members of course, but you'll notice it does help getting you there (sooner)
@Silvan
While I don't know you beyond that post, I think you are no n00b.

First thing, like 2play says, this is not the topic for asking questions about modding.plz help i wa smakeing a personal mod and i put fires of doom with lartz and i can make it avalable but when i click on it nothing happneds what do i need to add with this codeing?
Second, read this entire reply before taking action.
If you have a question, search the forum to see if someone has already asked the same question.
If you can find nothing useful you can go ahead and create a new topic here.
When you create a topic there are a few things to keep in mind.
- Make sure to add which game you are working with. (BFME 2 or RotWK)
- Give as much information as you can!
If you want to ask about coding, supply the code you used and tell where it's used.
- Use capitals and interpunction to make reading questions a lot easier.
Some will just skip the topic otherwise. (It's no big deal if you're having a hard time writing English, but what you wrote is more being lazy.)
Basically, because you supplied no useful information, I can't say what went wrong:
Questions that I have are:plz help i wa smakeing a personal mod and i put fires of doom with lartz and i can make it avalable but when i click on it nothing happneds what do i need to add with this codeing?
- Lartz = Lurtz? (Not a custom hero or a hero from a mod?)
- What did you do to "make it available" (code and location)
- Click on it > Does this mean part of the code worked? Did you get the commandbutton to appear?
- "this codeing" > You supplied no coding, so there is no way to see what is missing. We can only guess at a few possibilities.
Supply that information in a topic and you're chances of getting an answer improve a lot.
Note: Whatever you do, the answer to your question won't come from me. Not because I don't like you, but because I don't have time to mod for a while.

Something like this:
When you post without a validated account (or maybe even then), an intermediate page opens up with a 'read me' content kind of like this and a checkbox underneath to signify 'yes, i read and understood this'.
It must be checked before you are able to post. If you have an account, this check would be stored much like any account setting is stored. So, if you have read it and have an account, this 'inbetween' page would not appear again.
I realize that the account is for the whole of Revora, not just The3rdAge, but maybe a generalized version of this content could be used for the whole of Revora. I am sure that The3rdAge is not the only place to suffer from fools.
