And I didn't won Minas Tirith...even With Rohirrim...thx to these pesky Attack Trolls.


I won on medium. On hard it's suicide mission. Even with Rohirrim. And Mumaks.... impossible to beat :(

Yeah I played on hard too...Attack Trolls are annyoing. Mumaks die really quickly to fire arrows but Wargs+Rhuns+Trolls= :lol:
Maybe we are ment to bring full army of Elven Warriors not Rohirrim? :p

Trolls can slauhter everything, only Rangers deal big enough damage to kill them. Maybe just close both armies in the city and wait for the AotD?
Im afraid that army of Elven Warriors will not kill Rhuns.

Celeglin, could make new shields for Tower Guards? I played one game on high graphic settings and this white tree on the shield looks awful.

Yeah but I made only Gondor Archers to make mission look more accurate as there were no Rangers defending Minas-Tirith. :( I mean I made Soldiers and Tower Guards too but from Archery Range only Archers. Besides they have heavy armor. :p

as for the original game, I loved the rangers much more than the regular archers, since they got golden armor! :p

anyways, I'm looking forward to my freetime, and the campaing :lol:

Gondor Archers are good against orcs, even better than Rangers, and cost only 10 CP, but are not very good vs. monsters. I had loads of Archers and 6 battalions of Rangers and it wasnt enough.

Archers are generally better because of heavy armor :p

i just take Rangers. They're machine guns out there :D Plus, if you guard them well enough with tower guards/sodiers/heroes they inflict a lot of damage very fast :rolleyes:

And I've just noticed a bug with separating hordes (Spermen and Mirkwood Scouts). 1-level Spearmen can
join to the, for example, 3-level Scouts, and after separation I have a 3-level Scouts Battalion and 3-level Speramen Battalion. But if I have Scouts on 6,7,8 level? They level up quite fast, and can you imagine late-game elite Spearman of the Heavens spam? :D You need just one high-level Scouts Battalion :rolleyes: Pretty overpowered IMO :lol:

Woops! Forgot to remove the separate horde button... I just had it in there to test possibilities, and I guess I forgot to get rid of it. Thanks for pointing that out.

There's a buttom.

I've noticed something illogical about Riders of Rivendell. They are really fast, so why do they deal low trample damage? And they have spears, too. Maybe decrease their health and increase trample damage? Make them more hit-and-run attacks and harass unit than it is now?

They are hit and run already. :p

rider=high attack/ low trample/ low health/ fastest in the game
Kinghts= low attack/ high trample/ high health/ slowest in the game

so each cavalry type has its own purpose :p

I know, but it's against physics rights(?). High speed = high trample damage or big destruction abilities. You can even destroy a tank with a sausage, it just has to be fast enough :p :p

But by the same logic that heavy tank will destroy that little sausage, even if it's moving very slowly. The concept here is that the horses the Knights ride are more like warhorses than those of the Riders (which can be considered riding or racing horses). Due to animation and rigging restraints though, it was hard to convey that: I made certain modelling decisions to help though, like bardings for the Knights (to make them look "bigger" by filling up the space between the horse and the ground) and giving the Rider's arched necks (makes them seem more "pretty" than dangerous.

OK, I've never downloaded a mod before, so I'm not sure what to do about the installer or the mod. Where do I put both, and how do I use both? A step-by-step thing for complete beginners would be really REALLY helpful! Thanks for the help :)

Btw, the mod looks amazing, and this is why its the only one I've considered downloading. However, I'm a bit dumb :( when it comes to these things, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK, step-by-step:
1. Remove ALL Battle for Middle-Earth files. EVERYTHING. Even if it wasn't removed while uninstalating. And saved games.
2. Install BFME
3. Don't play, update to patch 1.03 immediately
4. Install the second, with corrected installer, version of the mod( there's a link somewhere in BETA Thread)
5. And you can play.

Worked for me. I have both versions downloaded.
And mod works only with English version of the game.

correction is:

And mod works only with English version of the game, and of course with any other language, but it will be in english, since there is no other versions of TEA.

OK, is Patch 1.03 the latest BFME patch? If not, how do I download this, and where. Also, what is this installer thing mentioned in this thread? Where do I save it/how does it work? And where do I save the mod? What do I do once I've saved the mod in the right place?

2. Just download from the site, Cel wouldn't have uploaded two different versions :)
3. You install the mod ;) then there might come "problems", but you should handle those okay ;)

Hm, mod didn't work with my polish version of the game. Don't know why ;) . So I thought it doesn't work with other language versions. Sorry :popcorn:

Yes it is. You can download it from offical EA site - ftp://ftp.ea.com/pub/eapacific/lotr/lotrbfme/ Patch 1.03 is on the bottom.

Maybe I don't understand something :p but there was a problem with installing the mod. Celeglin posted a link to another thing to download, and after installing this second version (for me) mod started working. I don't know is everything OK now.
