If you are referring to arnor, I don't plan on having arnor released for a while, and while I will try my best to find out how, I will probably not be able to give it some of the features the other factions have.

Guest, could you rephraise your sentance a bit, I know you are talking about my mod, but I would like to know what exactly you are saying.

Nertea,

Thanks for the replies, it does shed some light. Now to shed light on some of the things I had said

1. The Paladin Knights were the highest rank of knights in England during that time period. Elite, well armored, well trained and often were lords or well ranked in society. I used them as an example as they would be "Real World" Knights of Dol Amroth

2. Indeed on barding. Generally they didn't use barding as there wasn't as great a need for it in Western Societies.

3. Knights Templar Style? Fair Enough I guess

4. Granted on gothic plate armor, but it was dropped earlier thank you would think. Chain arm armor became a staple in Briton and slowly spread to germania and the like later on (where gothic armor was still more rampant and favoured over the Briton's manueverability). Granted also on where the armor is, but every little bit counts

Anyway, just my observations. Thanks for the explanations :D

Tom, I wasn't knocking your choice to drop elves (personally, I believe it lines up better with your goals imo) I just laughed at it as I was taking lithium at the time and the analogy stuck (Lithium being the chief medication for bi-polar disorder)

Well some of the Khand stuff was done the last time, today i have a easterling flavour update.

Firstly some screen shots showing the easterling cavalry.
Posted Image
Posted Image

Secondly, the Easterling Infantry.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

Now some info on the new units seen above that have not been talked about before.

Wain Riders
Wain Riders are a big part of Rhun's army. They come into play around mid to late game, and weck havoc as soon as they are on the field. They come in hordes of 3, each chariot with a experienced bowman on it. They are very large targets for archers and pikes, but swordsmen and close range archers are easily taken care of.

Upgrades = Flaming arrows, Advanced Training (gives the wains a speed, armour and attack boost), Horse Heavy Armour (gives the horses better armour making them less at risk to pikes and arrows).

Palace Guard
The Palace guard of the men who would of guarded the halls and buildings in citys and towns of rhun, aswell as the lords. They have all round better equipment and training and are Rhun's elite pikemen.

Easterling Scouts
Easterling Scouts are the basic cavalry of Rhun. They are less armoured but well trained riders. They act as a early cavalry unit.

Easterling Kataphrakts
The heavy cavalry of Rhun. They are well armoured at the front, designed to break enemy likes and withstand arrow volleys and pikes. But they arnt so well armoured fromt he behind, the idea being they wont turn their back on their enemys.

I have also brought the Rhun Faction page up to date.

Big thanks to Mullers for alowing me to use his Wain Rider model.

not at the moment, there are no spaces, i may take more on at a later date, but i only take on beta testers that are registed at the forums, and i feel are active enough to be a beta tester, as there are alot of members lined up at my forums wanting to be beta testers, which are more active at the mods forums, so im moe likely to pick them ;)

a smallish update today.

Firstly, the new Ithilian ranger random texture. Nothing special, but it gives abit more variety.
Posted Image

Secondly, the new Gondorien Watchman unit, avaible from the Minas Tirith barracks. Hes not a great fighter, but more of a support unit, hes got a great vision, stealthed all the time (unless attacking) and can detect stealth.
Posted Image

Lastly you can see the new spell book for Southern Fiefdoms here. Its not much, its just a mixture of other spells, with a few new ones thrown it. But its better then using anouther factions, but its only a temp at the moment.
Posted Image

The new powers are, Summon the Grey Companey (some dunedain rangers and halbarad, costs 15 PP), Summon Gondorien Scouts (costs 10), Tradeline (place on farms to increase their resouce output.

I have anouther smallish update.

Alot of people have said aragorn should be with gondor. the problem is, he did not come to gondor till the end of the war with sauron.

So i present Minas Tiriths new 25pp spell book power, which replaces the Army of the Dead which is now with Southern Fiefdoms.

Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

When you use the power, aragorn becomes a pernement hero for minas tirith, which means you can only use the power once. but Aragorn comes at level 10, and is much more stronger and powerful then the old aragorn we know and....well hated (as ea made him suck).

His Powers are,

Mount
Anthelas (same)
Throw Knife (self explained)
king of the Men of the West (a huge leadership to all allied units)
Elendil (same, but is now silver rather then blue)
For Frodo (makes aragorn quite unstoppable for one min)

Nice, is he comparable to a ring hero?

Because if so, it might be a bit overpowering to have next to Galadriel and all. ;)

no, hes not as powerful as a ring hero, and hes not as powerful as the balrog. Hes got a huge leadership, so he should be going along with an army, rather then a army of base destroyer.

Looking nice, though you should fix some tooltips ("pernement hero", "huge boost for a min") ;)

Firstly, the new easterling barracks build, each screen shot of its diferent levels. Thanks alot to cahik for making it :)

Some have been asking about Gandalf. Well ive been working on him today. He starts off grey for the price of 3000, you can then upgrade him to white for anouther 3000. When he upgrades to white, he gets the istari light and word of powers powers, aswell as all his other powers doing more damage, and his armour increased. Btw, he does have a leadership while hes white, i just ran out of space for it. he also has his bubble shield back, accept its an actaul power.

wow cool new shots, good idea to have gandalf's bubble an actual attack, and aragorn looked pretty darn cool

i erally like how you made the easterlings at certain levels outside fight....doesn't it take a long time having to make all the animations for that?....i've always thought you have to make the unique animations for allt he units at once, but is there an easier way to use the animations a unit already has as part of a building ... not sure if that made sense but its a curiosity of mine... :)

Yeah, I'm curious about that too. :xcahik_:

But cahik is a good animator, i suppose it's quite easy for him :)

...thinking about it... i suppose if you could import one of those animations already ingame which can then be seen in RenX, you could just move them to an offset position where they would be wanted in game

and then have a draw module seperately in the code with that animation.... but i rarely find the animation i would like works in RenX...
