Mahud is gonna be a Mumak hero for Harad.Just taking a guess here but seeing as one of the mini-factions for Harad has the mumakil for an icon could it possibly be a Mahud faction? They were their own tribe and it would be interesting to see what kind of units RA could think up for them. Also, for Umbar are we talking just about the Corsairs as units or the whole kingdom?

...The Journey doesn't end here; death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass. And then you see it. White shores...and beyond. A far green country, under a swift sunrise...
...Many folk like to know beforehand what is to be set on the table; but those who have laboured to prepare the feast like to keep their secret; for wonder makes the words of praise louder...
...Stand, Men of the West! Stand and wait! This is the hour of doom... ~ Gandalf the White, The Return of the King

"Mahud" is not a name for an individual but for (in the non-canon world of the Movies' and especially Games Workshop) a tribe of Men who live in the jungles of Far Harad and who're apparently the first people to have tamed the Mûmakil.
And before someone else gainsays me on the above, the word "Mahud" is derived from the word "Mahout", which is a name used to refer to an elephant driver in the real world.

One of the icons is Far Harad which may or may not get changed eventually (the icon that is).Just taking a guess here but seeing as one of the mini-factions for Harad has the mumakil for an icon could it possibly be a Mahud faction? They were their own tribe and it would be interesting to see what kind of units RA could think up for them. Also, for Umbar are we talking just about the Corsairs as units or the whole kingdom?

Dude, all of the mumaks needs their Mahud, the Mahud is what makes the Mumakils avaliable to Haradrim forces... of course, I don't know if Tolkien ever mentioned that the mumaks had drivers, but logically, they should have And if we go by GW's (and PJ?) way, then they should all have a Mahud, either as a sweet addition, or as an upgrade, which could grant them some kinda bonus, I don't know
All I'm saying is that if one mumakil has a mahud, they all should have

There is one passage that mentions something remotely resembling the Mahud in the books, perhaps this was one of the basis for WETA's creation of the Mumakil Mahouts:
Of Herbs and Stewed Rabbit, page 333
"The ruins of what seemed a very war-tower lay upon [the Mumak's] heaving back, smashed in his furious passage through the wood; and high upon his neck still desperately clung a tiny figure - the body of a mighty warrior, a giant among the Swertings."
Swertings here refers to the Southrons/Haradrim, obviously.
Don't worry, the Harad factioon will have far more heroes than Suladan and Bourkahn.
And yes, the Mahud will be in the Harad faction, predominantly in the form of those who steer the Mumakil.
The beginning of knowledge is the discovery of something we do not understand.
