Different names, same thing.

Goblin is a term generally used to describe the cave version, like the ones in Moria and Gundabad, while Orc and Uruk are generally used to describe the factory-produced warrior kind. However, they are the same thing.

And a hobgoblin is the same thing as a goblin, in case you meant that. ;) By the way, in my last post, I meant Azrael's idea for the ability. I don't know why I wrote hdh7; he didn't suggest anything. Meh, it's fixed now.

Goblins = orcs. There is no difference ffs. Orc is the Elven version, goblin is the common-tongue (the elven blade Orcrist translated to goblin-cleaver).

Re-read the Moria chapter and see how many times "goblin" was mentioned.

I agree, the word Goblin is fairly childish, Tolkien used "goblin" for the orcs in the Hobbit to encourage young readers to read his upcoming works, when thise young readers were a bit older they would move on to LOTR.

But back to hero powers, one of isengards newest heroes is Wulf. Based on a dunland cheif from the Two Towers, and named after Tolkien's Wulf.

*lvl 1) Pillage
*lvl 3) Axe Attack (Wulf's axe damage is increased temporarily)
*lvl 5) Leadersip (grant's 50% damage to Dunlandings)

You know there are a few minifactions without heroes such as Khand, Far Harad, Gundabad and the Iron Hills. I know it would be a bit foolish and perhaps betraying the "laws of Tolkien" but mabye the Mod-team could add some original heroes to the minifactions that lack heroes so that those minifactios are of greater value and mabye some additional units to factions like Ered Luin and Gundabad again so that they have greater value and so that their minifaction is more than a couple of upgrades, powers and units.

Isn't Dain already going to be a hero for the Iron Hills?

Yes he was King of Erebor during the War of the Ring but he was in fact from the Iron Hills. I've also looked in the Thain's Book forDwarves from the iron hills at the end of the Third Age, and there's no one. No Dwarves from the Iron Hills with the Exception of Dain Ironfoot.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, Uruk King. Well then, it doesn't look like the Iron Hills mini-faction is going to be getting a hero, unless the team makes one up, but I doubt that.

Yep, they said before they won't make a hero up. They took Drogoth as the example :thumbsupsmiley:

And they certainly won't be taking heroes from different Time Periods of the Third Age and sticking them in the War of the Ring either.

Ah well, I'm sure the team will make the Iron Hills uber even though they don't have any heroes. I just like the name of the place

But we have made up heroes before, just not as far-fetched as Drogoth.

Hildigais for example, and Einar.
