Okay, i was talking to a mate online and we got into a war discussion... Then the idea struck me.

How about give the Airforce general an SAS team instead of colnel burton as their hero unit? Yeah, i know its really a british thing and its a USA general, but its much more related to the airforce....

Also instead of the patriots give airforce a similar thing to the designator but the unit is a supersonic plane and not the slow A-10. Ok, its good, but it never hits the target, the troops always move outa the target area by the time it launches its missiles...

A10 is ok, that way its useful against big masses of ground units, not against every attack. Its better to let something to do to the player :)

Question regarding GLA.

Can the GLA hace some sort of better anti-air defense. Maybe some stolen lasers. MLRS's keep bombing my defenses back to the stone age.

Do you mean anti aircraft or anti missile defence? If second, then no. But GLA will have new long range defense like tomahawk fire base.

im new to the site and am not a modder but i have some ideas:

GLA
how bout a motov cocktail site for assult gen
Jarmen kell instead of vechical crew snipe have an explosve bullet snipe

USA airforce
a landing pad that has a heavy machine gun(about half the damage as a gattling cannon) that shoots down missles and kills infantry and then can be upgrade (like a drone) with a harrier that carries 6 missles(not to little, not to much) then must reload

a new plane i drew(I would post it but i have no scanner as soon as i get near a scanner i will post the pic on here fyi it is on line papar), i named it X-41 Titan it looks like a cross between an f-23 and a f-22, it has 2 versions:

Stealth:has ONE burst of machine gun fire and 2 raptor missles before it reloads, (i'd give it a cost of $2000 like a raptor)

Super Sonic: is NOT stealth anymore slows down a lot after it fires its weapons and has fuel tanks on its wings for visual different between the versions(i'd give this a cost of $2500 or $3000 like an aurora

I think the harrier idea is pretty good... use it as a long range/ anti artilary defense site. akin to the designator turret, but it has a plane/large drone that circles the structure, and lands to reload. not a bad idea. if it has to reload I think it needs a pretty ass whoop'n missle.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

the harrier would have like six missles that would be the anti tank part of the landing pad.

for the X-41
how cool would it be to have a anti infantry plane and/or and supersonic fighter instead of just the plain old aurora

maybe if you made the harrier have like 4 missles then it lands.

and for the jarmen kell for the assult gen, wit the explosive bullet snipe, have his reload time decrease

As for the explosive bullet, it is a really good idea...
Make it reload faster than the "kill pilot" ability, and make it blast away the tank, like the Emperor Snipper Cannon... :huh:

what about the super sonic fighter, x-41 any good?, because it would add some fighter variation,instead of just jsf, aurora, x-jet, stealth , and f-22 maybe it is just me but when i play as USAF i get bored of just using raptors especialy if you're are making the stealth fighters good vs defenses again.

post #27 is mine i just didn't have the time to log in, i have like 5 mins during school

i got an idea for assult general defense, a katasysa(SPELLING TOTALILY WRONG) site with a barrage of rockets that fire from it, for artillery defense

I've got a little add for the harrierpad idea.
Well, the harrier is a very good plain in our time but as we (hopefully) all know: The harrier is going to be replaced by the brand new F-35 JSF VTOL plane. Generals takes place in about 20 to 50 years in the future and until then all harriers should be replaced with the F-35 (especially the american ones).
Now i suggest to dump the harrier and put an F35 instead onto the platform. Give it some AG Missiles or bombs to effectivly destroy tanks.
I suggest too, to throw the F-35 from the airfield, cause its pretty useless (my enemys rarely use airforce and if they attack my patriots and avengers take care of it).

Well how do you fell about the ideas creator,
for demo gen, why cant you just build car bombs instead of stealing vechices from the map

and what about robot gen getting a firebase that just comes with 4 flying drones

for infantry general how about having a 5000 tank that has 4 gattling cannons on it, but it has a slow turret turn like a overlord gattling cannon.

like a new super unit for infantry general

No way... I realy like it for Air to Air... can be very important for shooting down Iron dragons or stealth planes. I did feel it was a little underpowered and raised the ammo count, but the plane is useful if you play style matches it.

i drew out some of my ideas:

the Kasyatuta(SP) site: the rocket barrage defense site.

the X-41: screw the stealth version and have the supersonic version have 2-4 missles and no machine gun

I think you guys already have an infantry general super unit so what is it
and about the jsf on the landing pad, i like the jsf as it is.
im gonna draw the land pad+harrier then scan all my pics and put them on here(would they look good in pencil or what?)

how about a stealth drones on a firebase drone controller. it can have like drone that can have long range and can attack only ground targets. it can have like 2 hellfire drones, 2 machine gun drones and a laser drone and all the drones should be stealth for this fire base controller. how does that sound.

thats very similare to what many have suggested, but I really like the variety of drones idea. I do think it would need more than 5 drones to be a strong defense though.

For Chemical General:
Remember the Inkvine Catapult from Emperor Battle For Dune?
Something stationary with ACID warheads would be a good defense :p

OK i got an idea as a big defence for China Tank general. how about a tank Garrison for china tank general (like the one in Yuri's revenge). the troop crawler with a sniper cannon is available at lvl 3 so a person can garrison it inside and the sniper cannon can act as a long range defence. later on in the game the over lord armed with what ever you want can be garrison. i think this would be a cool idea and will be a more china tank general style. the structure can look like the base of the US fire base with a ramp on one side and the other side should a have concrete barrier or a sand bag barrier. while garrison the tank gets only 10 to 25% damage it would normally get. automatic repairs might not even be necessary since a speaker tower next to tank garrison will be able to do the repairs if the tank gets damaged.
