Yeah... voices are a huge WIP like Mike said. Keep in mind that it's only "icing on the cake" in terms of importance. If I remember correctly, there's a lot involved including retrieving (sp?) sound files (which I have yet to hear someone do) and then there might come a case of recording voices/sound effects. It's best to not even think about expecting new voices until a lot later in the mod's developement. Besides, the team has got enough on their plates concerning the additon of Rivendell  .

I personally wouldn't mind spending time doing the voices. And I'll write the scripts for new units, as well, if you want. I'm good at this sort of thing and I'd enjoy it. Just tell me what kind of equiptment I need and how to upload the files.

I was wondering, by the way... Will the RJ Fortresses be fixed in the next release? 'cause they're supposed to be Build-Anywhere on your fortress and forgive me for saying so but lots of the spaces for buildings can't be built apon, which makes the bases look rather dreadful. Will this be fixed for the next release? And also, will there be more/improved AI for the Buildplot maps? So far we only have one and it doesn't work with the A.I.

How about just straight from the MOVIES, like the Elven Alliance used? That way they're not stealing. :)

Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.

I think Elven Alliance voices are allowed to be used if the mod creator is mentioned in cretids or something like that

I find it much easier to create the soundsets myself.

Hasfusel, are you sure that you'd be willing to help with the voices? For the moment I'm only creating the soundsets/ scripts not recording anything. I would appreciate any and all help, especially whne I actually start moving on the soundsets again.

PM me if you are interested.

Oh, yeah, I am kinda in charge of the voices by voluteering.

Brass players and their feeble minds...

Oh, and this post is entirely on-topic. You've just got to infer the meaning from the surrounding text. :D

But those heroes who are in the movies should sound like them.

That problem is easily solved by not playing out of tune :xd:

You know the difference between a squirrel squished on the road and a baritone player run over like a pancake?

The squirrel might have been on his way to a party! :p

Ah, but then your game would be so uninteresting without the background music.

And yes, Yoda, I'll engage in some self-mutilation for perpetuating the off-topicness. :p

Holy sh*t, that's a little extreme! Don't you think :shiftee: ? For making me laugh, you've earned a place in my books Rav.

Now I suggest that we get back on topic.

For the Last Alliance mission, (I think there is one forgot where i heard it though), will it be possible for people who died there to be saved (Gil-Galad, Elendil, Oropher, Anorian). It wouldn't make much difference for Elendil and Anorian, as they would have died eventually anyways, but it means you could use Gil-Galad, Oropher, any ive missed in the campaign too for defending one of the elven cities.
