i Know everyone is probably feed up of hereing bout the WotR elven bug were you cant build because of the sub faction thing,

i may have any idea for a fix, Have the hero attcking or defening come on screen (no Builders) and there opposing number.

FOR EXAMPLE
if you were commanding Haldir((Lorien)) he would appear on screen with Elrond/Arwen etc((Rivendel))
which ever one you pick would have a ""ally with...""button on the plantir, just like in the fortresses.
----Haldir ((Lorien)) ""Ally with Lorein Button""
----Elrond etc ((Rivendel)) ""Ally with Rivendel button.
Then the "losing hero leaves and the chosen builders come in
A possible solution!!

I know that could be a lot of coding to deal with the different variables and there could be a much simpler solution out there but just and idea. You would also have to switch the heros on the WotR map aswell. It does sound like a lot of trouble, dosent it!!!
:evgr: :sad2:

P.S.
THIS COULD ALSO WORK FOR THE MEN OF THE EAST

is it possible to add recorded voices for some units into he mod as some units use pre-existing and annoyingly wrong sound files,
eg.
Lorien Marchwardens use the mirkwood archer file
Lorein Spearmen use the mithlond sentries

Some of the new units dont have any either
i know this is not highly important just thought i would bring it up and see if anyone is willing to do it:)

I had been doing some work on voices, but that was ages ago. Kinda stopped lately, but I think I might start getting back to work on that. There is still much to be done, especially for elves.

P.S i have a mic, i'll have a fiddle with it, not really used it before

could do with some phares or sentences everyone
(preferably different ot gondors)

Well, before we do voice acting, I want to finish designing the soundsets (what the units say) first, so we know what needs to be said.

I need to get a listing of units (outside of the elves) who need voices, especially for Dwarves, Rohan and the Evil factions, as I rarely play as those. I suppose that it's time to start working on playing the game... Aslo, if any of you does any of this foot work for me, pm me the list for the faction you did/ units that you got.

Are you including units, buildings, and heroes in your search by the way? Because from my experience it took a lot longer than 45mins to list all of the units that needed voices.

Buildings? o.O

Clearly I was on shrooms when I was playing :p .

But in all seriousness; Buidlings do have vocal announcements when units are made. And sometimes when they're upgraded to the next rank. Fortresses also have vocal announcements when fortress upgrades are completed and the same with expansions (sometimes).

Now if I may insert my overrated opinion... I think that some fortress vocal announcements could be removed (or atleast removed from the factions that RJ-ROTWK introduces). My reason being that it cleans up the sound quality and it reduces the amount of work required.

It cleans uo the sound quality by giving the player 'less to hear'. We already have vocal announcements for unit creations, upgrade purchases (by this I mean purchasing Forged Blades from a Forge or something..), hero creations, and some fortress expansions/upgrades. I don't think that we need vocal announcements for each time a building reaches rank two or if the player builds a fortress expansion/upgrade.
